Ruby herself balks at the idea of romance in most verses right up until she realizes she has feelings for someone. Give it a decade or two tbh. But I can see these two getting on well, and their egos are well-matched lmao. I am excited to see where our plot goes!

EDIT: I see Celeste liked this post. I think Ruby needs to date Roland and Will at the same time and also I think Roland and Will need to kiss posthaste.

Truthfully, it is something that he is quite frightened of happening to himself. He's heard of it happening, the muse leaving the bard entirely... whether by curse or they've just lost the inspiration... and then, what is he worth?

Of course he knows he's worth more than that. A former professor at Oxenfurt, a symbol of liberation for the elves still suffering under the North's cruelty.... but being a bard is his life. It is what makes it worth it to breath when he wakes up in the morning and what gives him peace before he lays his head on his pillow at night.

If he lost his ability to leave a mark on the world... what would he be?
