For the character meme: Uhhh...Data! And Scotty!
How I feel about this characterUhhhh, Data was my one of my first crushes as a (very young) kid? And people will be like, oh it’s because he’s a safe unemotional choice and I’m like, nah. He’s kind and thoughtful and curious and sometimes even a little full of himself and awkward and always willing to listen and learn. It makes me sad he wants to be more human, because I think he’s better than most people, lol
All the people I ship romantically with this characterIf I have to choose, it’d be Geordi. Their relationship is lovely and sweet and caring and supportive. It’s a little on the cutesy side for me, as far as something I’d write, but I’m paying attention during my TNG rewatch to see if I could find ideas.
My non-romantic OTP for this characterData and just about everyone, to be honest. There are great moments with just about the whole crew. I’m particularly interested in him and Deanna, since she struggles with people she can’t get a read on.
My unpopular opinion about this characterThis one’s hard... what are some unpopular opinions about him? I’m not sure, so let me just rant instead about Datalore, in which it’s a huge plot point that Lore uses contractions and Data doesn’t, and then Data uses a contraction at the end of the episode and it’s like ?????????????
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.I haven’t even... seen all the movies he’s in so I’m not 100% sure what isn’t in canon. Referring back to the non-romantic thing, maybe more with him and Deanna? She needed more non-romantic relationships with men.
How I feel about this characterI’m going to be 100% on this, I like Scotty, but I don’t have a lot of thoughts on him, so this’ll be short. To me, he’s a pretty one-note character... it’s a great note, though, and serves the story well.

My non-romantic OTP for this characterUM, there are some really great and underrated moments of McCoy and Scotty., like when Spock jokingly asks if they’re going to commit mutiny. Also? The episode of TNG that he’s in? He and Data are super cute?
My unpopular opinion about this characterThe accent is so extra, and his real voice was adorable. I wish he would’ve just been able to not do the accent for the role.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.My favorite bits with Scotty were always when he was in command. I wouldn’t have minded seeing more of that, and really dig into what makes him who he is.
