There were moments when it became blatantly apparent to Teddy that while the twins may share the same face, the same wicked grin (and gods help him when they both decided to turn it on him) and much of the same genetic makeup, they were in fact two completely different people.
However, it was also moments like this, when Tommy let his guard down and finally allowed himself feel without abandon, that Teddy could see how they were still so much alike.
When he originally got the very cryptic text about Tommy needing him, Teddy wasn't exactly sure what he was going to walk into. But that was before he had arrived, before he had heard Tommy be vulnerable and open and raw and Teddy couldn't help but pull his brother into a firm hug so that Tommy could use his strength, if only for a little while.
"You, Tommy Shepherd are many things. You are a hero. You are brave, and smart and you are enough." When Tommy moved to pull away, Teddy let him, if only so that he could gently frame the face that looked so similar to his husband's, and yet was so vastly different.
"And if people cannot see you, the real you, for the strong, caring person that you are, for the good person you are, then they do not deserve your attention. Do you understand me?" Teddy could see in the emerald eyes that Tommy's internal monologue was fighting him, and he rested his forehead against his brothers.
"I love you. Billy loves you. Wanda loves you. You have a family who love and care for you. And we aren't going anywhere."
