Lori couldn't tell if he was flirting with her or just making a statement. She found Billy hard to read that way, Lori wasn't sure if it was just his personality but she'd also never really interacted with him in a group setting so really she had no one else to compare her interactions with him to.

The problem here was that yes, Lori had been in his dreams last night. She'd accidentally astral projected in to them with a power borrowed from Dream himself. She'd been awkwardly involved in Billy's dream where she actually kind of made the whole situation worse and Billy had to get the two of them out of there. Lori managed to escape when he woke up but she'd spent a good eight hours in his dream scape which he probably only remembered bits and pieces off.

"Um yeah about that... I was kinda in your dreams last night huh." Now Lori wasn't sure if she was the one who was flirting or who made a statement. Lori nodded awkwardly. "Girl of your dreams or some shit right?"

Lori wondered what it was like to be as oblivious as Billy. She wasn't complaining about being taken to a lesbian bar on their big 'evil night out on the town.' Billy had picked the bar off a list and decided that it was the one they had to check out. It was pretty cool though, she'd give him that much. It was pirate themed and Billy did commit to the bit and decided not to be boring and dressed the part with her. Lori hadn't really noticed until one of the girls asked in the bathroom where she met her 'hot stud girlfriend'. Then Lori had proceeded to look around the bar and noticed the lack of men other than Billy. She didn't normally pay attention to men in public anyway, Janette and all the strippers she knew had told her that random men didn't deserve her attention without paying for it up front in drinks. Which Billy had been doing and he wasn't totally evil like all the other men she knew was. He was just kind of goofy and non threatening. He could have some attention.

"Billy it was called Scissor Me Timbers." Lori laughed, it was still a great name. "We should go back the pirate theme was fun and the cocktails were great. No one noticed just pretend to be my girlfriend no one will ask any questions. Fake it till we make it kind of shit."

Thad blinks at the cards as Lori shows them to him one by one. He wasn't one to usually take an interest in tarot cards and the magic adjacent and that sort of thing, despite his own family's connection to magic, but he supposed that just this once his curiosity had gotten the better of him.

But that still didn't mean that any of this had any meaning to him. That much was apparent as he tilted his head to the side and furrowed his brows at the pull of the last card Lori showed him.

"Ok." He lets out a sigh, "One, when the hell have I ever been impulsive? I think I'm rather level headed in my life and with regard to decision making. Two," he holds up two fingers, "Tell me something I don't know. I've been running from those crossroads for a while now. And three," he raises his third finger along with the other two, "What the hell does that first card mean? You didn't explain that one to me. What about it makes sense?"

Lori looked at Thad. Odd that he thought that she was the one that controlled the cards and that this wasn't the will of Athena herself personally calling Thad out on things he was being chronically an idiot about. She was mean like that, that's why Lori loved her. Thad had so many questions for someone who literally smelled like magic. He had a perfectly good phone in his pocket why did it have to take a woman to explain every little thing to him? Google was in fact free. But Jeanette and every stripper that Lori knew from Scandal's wife's strip club was right men were often stupid and simple creatures most of the time. Thad probably just wanted to talk to her for a bit longer. She'd indulge but next time he was going to have to ask her more politely.

"Bro, I'm literally not you and I don't know your life. I'm not Santa clause I'm not always watching and unless you start posting my chemical romance tour updates I'm not going to be watching everything you do." Lori picks up the King of Swords and holds it again. "The King of Swords is a logical King, he likes clear communication and logic. He removes emotion from all equations and approaches problems with clear thinking and strategy. He likes structure and routine to rule at his best. He's generally a analytical and fair minded but," Lori turned the card upside down.

"When he's reversed he's a bully, a tyrant and power hungry. He uses his logical thinking in negative ways to hurt and manipulate people." She sets the card down in the reverse.

Lori Shuffles her tarot deck and pulls a card for Billy. She shows him the Knight of Wands. "This one is who you are as a person. It actually explains a lot about you." Lori pulls a second card. She shows him the Wheel of Fortune reversed. "This one is telling me that you recently had a run of really bad luck." Lori pulls a third card. She shows him The Lovers. "You're starting to find balance within yourself again but you have to stop taking the easy route out of things." Askbox Always Open for @blackalice

Lori mentioned she was going to read his tarot cards for him; she didn't really ask, she just sat him down at the table and began, which he was perfectly fine with.

Billy didn't know the first thing about this, fully unaware of any meanings associated with each card, and he's certainly never had his cards read for him before. So, this was overall a new experience, one he was curious about as Lori started to flip them his way and explain.

"Sooo, how's that first one me?" He asked, genuinely wondering what the relation could be. "Sounds 'bout right with that second one. Keep havin' thangs go wrong durin' heists 'r contracts the past two weeks, n' surprisin'ly a lotta it ain't m' fault. Literally said ta m'self that it was bad luck." Billy let out a scoff.

"That third one... Hm."

That seemed like the deepest one of them all, though was it actually true? He hadn't necessarily felt unbalanced for a long while now; no recent tumultuous life events had occurred to make him feel as such, but that didn't really mean anything. Even a slow balancing within himself was something, life event happening or not.

"Is that card yellin' at me ta stop stealin' stuff 'r somethin'? It ain't a easy route though! Lotta plannin' goes inta it all." Maybe it was telling him to do exactly that. It's not like that idea was foreign to him.

"The Knight of Wands is a charismatic person, the loudest in the room. He's a bold and high energy adventurer who's passionate and charming but he's also impulsive." Lori picked up the card and put it in to the reverse position. "When your energy is reversed you're fickle, stubborn and argumentative."

Lori nods listening to him explain his recent run of bad luck. People though her cards were generally stupid or that they didn't reflect anything at all in the hands of someone else that would be the case but Lori was a person who was incredibly magically gifted and the cards were just a tool for her magical potential to flow though.

Lori looked down at her cards. She didn't hold power for very long she was still undisciplined and untrained. Her magic was powerful but wild and had a mind of it's own. "Sometimes the cards are giving you a warning of things that may happen and they're offering you some guidance." Lori nodded she understood how hard planning heists were. "Yeah they're not easy, You know what maybe the cards are telling you not to take the easy way out and stop." Though she had wanted to stop multiple times but the cards always advised Lori that money was going to be tight so she kept going with thievery.

"So then what does this mean for me? I'm just a mystery to you?" He asked after listening to the rest of her explanation, which honestly made sense to him, "Or wait doesn't this just make me a well-rounded person if I don't fit exactly into one category?"

Huh. 'Well-rounded person.' Why did that sound wrong when applied to him?

"Yeah you're like..." Lori was trying to put this nicely for him. "A normie. Like a well rounded normie. You don't fit in to just one group but I wouldn't say you could slide easily in to them either. You dress mostly preppy. You like a plaid shirt but you're not doing it in a grungy way."
