My very own siren :) I worked hard on this and I think it turned out good, sorry about the quality I cant figure out how to get a big image of my art off of aseprite, if anybody can help I would appreciate it, as im using snipping tool at the moment. Lore is working on for it, for now its just cool oc art!

Oh, hello. Greened out t break here. May or may not have checked your blog while making my coffee (just pour over drip, jealous of your espresso set up, damn). I don’t mind the delay in the slightest. Hopefully you’re staying busy for all the right reasons. Still on my t break mostly for living situation logistical issues than anything else. I’m so so so tempted to break it tonight, tho. I’m going to a party in the middle of a snow storm, and I think the temptation to indulge may be too great. Something about the snow makes me want to cozy up and fade away.

I’m a writer but I’ve been blocked the last week. A good dose of divine inspiration might just be the thing I need to take me over the edge. What is it that inspires your poetry? I’m fascinated by the duality, interior and exterior, a tough shell and a molten core. Your exploration of senses and desires are deliciously poignant. What is art to you?

snow def has that effects. it softens the edges just enough that you forget where your limits are and become a bit more indulgent. I think it’s just our internal hibernation instinct. Idk

i don’t think inspiration comes from anything clean or divine tho. It’s often quite the opposite for me. pressure, contradiction an things that don’t resolve properly. the part of me that looks put together vs the part that absolutely isn’t. It’s the point where they converge and are allowed to coexist a little.

that duality you mentioned… that’s the whole thing for me. i write to make the outside match the inside for a second. or at least translate it well enough that someone else recognizes it… or so I can at least recognize myself…

art to me is just proof I felt something real and didn’t let it disappear . It’s how I acknowledge myself

for what it’s worth be careful with the “just tonight” thinkin. I’ve gotten myself into quite a few messy situations with that thinking
