This weeks episode was great, and the same time really sad. It was kinda basic, but important plot wise. 3 categories this week, so hold on!
The Team- So Arsenal is all by himself in(on?) the big scary Warworld. (Are we allowed to call him Roy? Or is Red Arrow Roy? I just call them Arsenal Roy and Red Arrow Roy, myself.) He stalks the Runaways for a bit, saves their adorable butts, and manages to rescue the team. Dick and M'ghann have a "guilt-off" (it was totally all M'ghann's fault. You had one job, Martian!), and Sphere saves the day, simply by virtue of his cuteness! Arsenal gets fired, and things are sad. (Also, what's Bart gonna do about his baby being evil now?)
The Runaways- My cuties are back! They have made it a bit of a mission to ruin the Reach for Lex Luthor's agenda, in his ironic way. We see a bit of Virgil taking on a role as a leader, with his brave heart and intuition. They run around the Warworld on their mega cute skateboards, and kick some butt! (Note to villains: never mess with a Runaway Skateboard.) Arsenal shows up, and takes on a leadership role (which has kinda of been a thing the many Roy's have always wanted). The cuties save the team, and get offered a spot. But they side with the now unemployed Arsenal, and leave. Faced with the truth of how Lex used them, the runaways leave his care with the heartbreaking line "No more promises."(which totally killed me inside.)
The Reach- This episode starts like another typical Reach day. The ambassdor is playing the people of earth like a video game, even corrupting little girls. And then it all went wrong. Gordon calls the ambassador out for the attack fleet, and the Reach's credibility is under attack (looks like somebody hasn't been drinking their Reach.) Godfrey's ability to question everything has done a good thing for once. (Even if He and the ambassador were my OTP...)
