These Halloween Monster Marshmallows are a fun and spooky treat for your Halloween party. They are fluffy green marshmallow creatures with edible googly eyes and creepy details. Kids and adults alike will love making and eating these cute and delicious monsters!
Ingredients: 2 cups white sugar. 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin. 1/2 cup cold water. 1/2 cup corn syrup. 1/4 cup water. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Green food coloring. Edible googly eyes. Black decorating gel.
Instructions: Mix the gelatin with 1/2 cup of cold water in a mixing bowl. To soften, let it sit for ten minutes. Put the sugar, corn syrup, 1/4 cup water, and salt in a saucepan. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a candy thermometer registers 240F 115C. It will require ten to fifteen minutes. After the gelatin has softened, gradually add the hot sugar syrup while continuing to beat at a low speed. Once the mixture is thick and fluffy, turn the mixer up to high and beat for ten to fifteen minutes. To get a spooky green color, add a few drops of green food coloring along with some vanilla extract. Blend until thoroughly blended. Spread the marshmallow mixture evenly in a 9 by 13-inch baking dish that has been greased. Let it cure for four to six hours, or over night. After the marshmallow slab has set, cut out monster shapes from it using cookie cutters with a Halloween theme. Using a tiny dab of marshmallow or decorating gel, add edible googly eyes to the marshmallow monsters. Create mouths, stitches, or other eerie details on the marshmallow monsters using black decorating gel. When the decorating gel is set, your Halloween Monster Marshmallows will be ready to spook the guests at your party!
