03/10/2020 - Chase the Cannock Forest.

When something tastes great you want more! it’s human nature of course, and today I spent the afternoon with my father surrounded by mother nature attending another Forestrax 4x4 event at the Cannock Chase Forest. It may have been the same place but the weather made things interesting. This wasn’t heavy duty trialling or a light bywaying, the adverse weather created challenges even experienced drivers would’ve of been tentative tackling, soggy mulch and adverse cambers became very enjoyable.

I encourage all to book with the guys at Forestrax 4x4 and enjoy the forest.

15/01/2020 - Tested Positive.

New crossmember and a fresh MOT for the D90. Many thanks to the guys at Greyhill 4x4 for getting road worthy again. The rot in the crossmember wasn’t worth repairing, I am a qualified welder but the turn around time would’ve probably surpassed the Brexit result if it ever happens... so we handed it over to our realiable garage.

17/05/2019 - Left to rot.

It’s not often you stumble upon two Series II Land Rovers in one day that have been left to rot. It fascinates me that some ones pride and joy ends up just sat there only needed a few £’s spent on it to get running again, be interesting if either are up for sale.

3rd November 2017 - Riverting Stuff. Taken a lot longer than anticipated, mainly down to poor paint quality on the pre existing capping, the brand new one was perfect to be honest but the passenger side was shocking, never feel obliged to accept piss poor workmanship is my tip for today.

Though i’ve not captured a picture of the final product i can assure you its all aligned and buttoned up, now to give it back to Amy so she can find more things for me to fix.

22nd September 2017 - Stripped.

The drivers side rear capping was beyond repair, but luckily the passengers side was salvageable, only problem was i needed to remove them both to send for paint.

Using a light stand as a roof prop turned out to be pretty legit. Based on some witness marks and odd spacers and bolt lengths i got a slight suspicion this isn't the first time this back has been off.
