GreenStat - a response
I've had an email back from Green Stationery! (Previous post.)
It basically says that they use some software that is shared by 300-ish small businesses, and so the software providers (Evolution e-commerce) would need to make a change. But issues like this are dealt with in order of priority, and this one is a pretty low priority because people don't complain about it much. Green Stationery have already complained about it though, and they say they will do so again.
So that's your cue, folks. Complain about lots of forms with gender required that have only two options, and it will be considered a higher priority. It's not legal recognition, but it is social recognition, which is required for the legal kind!
