DON FELDER - The Vault - Fifty Years Of Music - Album Review
Teeth in velvet. A vault without hinges. You’re listening through ash. Not playback—relapse. It begins somewhere between the tremble of an open chord and the hiss of old oxide. Not Move On—no track names here. Just the first incision. Tape flickers. Pulse stutters. Guitars coil like old snakes moulting their skin in sun-bleached motel rooms. This isn’t rock. It’s a slow extraction. Fifty years of…
Research
I've been researching quite a lot lately just to get a more broad scope of knowledge on certain areas. I've been looking at various drummers and the equipment they use as a way of almost 'window shopping' my next purchase and just general curiosity. one of my favourite drummers to look at right now is Gregg Bissonette, a fantastic played who has done shows with everyone from Toto, to The Buddy Rich Big Band. Gregg is associated with Vic Firth, Dixon Drums and Zildjian cymbals. Having recently purchased a pair of Zildjian K custom hybrid hats I am completely sold to Zildjian, they are without a doubt the best hi-hats I've ever heard and will be looking to buy some more of the set in future. I'm not familiar with Dixon drums however so would be interested to see how they play
#Drummer's unit! Awesome determination! Dean Zimmerman and Greg Bissonette doing an amazing job. If you think you can't do something, you're probably right.
A must watch by everyone!
David Lee Roth - "Eat 'em and smile"
David Lee Roth - Eat 'em and Smile by Saul Chavez on Grooveshark
DD:
