How the filmmakers were able to train these cats, without the use of digital effects mind you, is a mystery. I’m more of a dog person but I don’t mind cats really. But I know for a fact they can be stubborn motherfuckers so whenever they play a critical role in a film it must be a nightmare. Maybe this movie should have gotten an Oscar for Visual Effects or at least a special award for handling felines. Then again it was up against The Matrix which is a mountain no one was gonna hurdle. Come to think of it that might be the biggest discrepancy in Oscar history when it comes to nominees. They might have well handed those statues to the Wachowski’s and saved some air time.
