You bring up Trevor Zegras, and he called me a few days after I got fired and he, you know, I got bounced around by Spittin’ Chiclets, and I was like the—I was like the soccer ball for… I don’t know what, you know, what motivated it or where it came from. I think that, I don’t want to like get into it too much, but I think I was kind of maliciously misrepresented at times by the media, and I don’t go into it. I don’t have Instagram. I don’t have any of that stuff. I’d rather talk to the players directly in a collaborative way. And like, Zegras calls me and he says, “Uh, Crow, I wanted to strangle you last year. Like you were trying to get me to do things I didn’t want to do.” And like, like Murph, that’s going back to what I said about the guys that negotiate with standards or they just they just basically tap out. They can’t do it. They don’t want to do it. So he was a negotiator and I try to, you know, balance out the conversations, put a little less vinegar, more sweet in the conversation and, um, and he came around. Like, he said, “Crow, I learned a different way to play hockey that I never even was told like as far as defensive goes, the defensive habits.” You know, just getting into people’s hands, inside hands. He’s not a big guy, you gotta check in the right way, you can’t run at people.
