Manitoba NDP Leader Greg Selinger has offered his resignation.
Selinger also wants to see Pallister's income tax returns.
NDP Leader Greg Selinger is calling his Progressive Conservative opponent "homophobic" and a threat to social programs as the Manitoba election campaign enters its final eight days.
He is also demanding Brian Pallister reveal his income tax returns to ensure there are no offshore holdings that escape taxation.
Selinger called Pallister homophobic for voting against an anti-bullying law in 2013.
The law requires schools to allow gay-straight student alliances and the Tories opposed it on a number of grounds, including an assertion that it might infringe on the religious rights of private schools.
The Tories also opposed the law's definition of bullying, which includes hurting someone's feelings.

If polls are right, in a vote held today, former Harper MP Brian Pallister would be elected Premier of Manitoba.
But with Liberal support crumbling in the lead up to the April 19 vote, there is now hope progressive voters can coalesce to block a conservative win.
“Manitobans believe everybody should be treated with dignity and respect,” NDP Premier Selinger told me in an exclusive interview Thursday. “You have to grow the economy in a way that all people have jobs, including indigenous people.”
And on that front, Selinger has some solid facts supporting him. Not only does Manitoba boast Canada’s second-lowest unemployment rate. It’s also one of only two provinces where unemployment is going down. The NDP leader eagerly points to the “risk” posed by a return of conservative economics.“ Brian Pallister’s priority is to make sure the wealthier get wealthier and that’s who he’s listening to with his planned agenda of tax cuts and his musings about privatization,” says the NDP Premier, who notes that the PC leader is “musing about” two-tier health care.
