NEW START BRAIN INJURY COMMUNITY CENTER

Born and raised in nearby Connecticut, and already obsessed with mid-century cartoons, "Greg Mike" Mensching says it was on childhood trips into New York City that he saw "the creative potential of reinventing public spaces through art and design." Transforming walls himself since his early teens Greg Mike's skills at fusing the two influences have made his colorful "Surrealist Pop Art" world of "gleefully twisted characters" immediately recognizable. Now based in Atlanta where he founded the @OuterSpaceProject in 2015, Greg Mike traveled to Worcester, Massachusetts in 2016 where he painted this mashup of characters for @PowWowWorcester. On Salem St Near Franklin, the piece welcomes greets clients with traumatic brain injuries at BAMSI's New Start center.  @gregmike/
