Is it weird that I am the only one who likes and explores Aang's flaws and find erasing them boring and doesn't use Aang's flaws for an excuse for Zutara or to pretend Katara is pure?
Like, I really love exploring his entitlement to Katara in his POV but in a way that's not glorified than have him as this distant cartoonishly evil villian in ZK's story. The latter is boring. I want to have him actually conflicted over his monk nature and obsession(lust, love, possessiveness, life support, mother, friend, girlfriend) and try and justify it to himself and go crazy over it.
If I am using Zutara as 'good' in comparison, then they will be the distance background characters, not Aang.
ZK's story in this context is done, the have already grown, their arcs are done, everything is done with them, no need to focus the story one them, the two who are now fully stable and happy, the whole point is that they have moved on, matured and become tired and jaded, Aang hasn't.
What's interesting is what Aang would do. Would he crash and burn? Would he become evil? Does he redeem his evil or never change? What if he becomes an anti hero instead or a morally gray character?
Like, what if he goes full on hell fire or some shit?
Dark Aang is a so much more interesting protagonist than pure hearted sweet innocent Zutara that must look good in comparison. It's not like protagonists are supposed to be good guys inheritly by nature.
Look at Death Note for example. Almost everyone in that damm story is morally gray and arrogant, especially the main character who is getting darker and darker as the story goes on.
I want to understand Aang's flaws, like, I wanna put him inside of a jar and study his issues understand a microscope.
I want to make him go crazy, insane and yandere. I want to see a Candle Queen cover with him.
Is there any tags for this? Please, where the fuck are my people? There needs to be a smug Aang plushie. I wanna squeeze him.
