次列風切羽のあたりがゴッソリと抜けている。 近くで別の個体もみたから、恐らくこの辺りの森で繁殖しているのだろう。

What kind of hawk is Hawks? PART TWO

Butastur indicus! (grey-faced buzzard, サシバ ) a hawk from the buteo group. Also from the Accipitridae family, a medium-sized raptor typically between 41 and 46 cm in length.

Adolescent!Hawks with gray feathers on his back! 

This is from a (super cute) video about them passing by Taiwan while migrating.

Also, it says the eggs are white with rusty or reddish-brown spots (couldn’t find any pic tho), so if Hawks was born from an egg… that’s an option.

Japanese? It breeds in East Russia, North China, Korea, and Japan, and winters in South-east Asia. 

Red? Adults (both female and male) are red & brown on the upper part of the chest while the chest is brown or dark brown while juveniles are often less reddish, with dark brown bars on the abdomen.

Eyebrows? Sparkly yellow eyes? YES.

Vocalization: Males and females frequently call "Pic-qeee" or "Kim-mee" with the accent on the first syllable in the breeding grounds. (Hawks’ flirting sounds)
