Holding on to something is hard. No matter what it may be. For me it’s a person, one that’s different from the rest. He doesn't smile, doesn’t dance, hug, or even sing. But here’s the thing he’s cold hearted and rash, and does a lot of mean things. But he’s a good person despite everything. He regrets all his words, regrets all his actions, except those moments he laughs at a certain trolls pain. He amy seem mean, his actions harsh, but it’s only cause he’s got a tear in his heart. He cares a lot to, I know that, no matter how he may react. I’m a ray of sunshine on a stormy day and he’s the stormy day that I hope will always stay. I love my Branch for he is only mine. And for I hope I'm only his.
Branch felt a warm tear run down his face tracing his pain. “She’s been practicing.” he chuckled releasing the paper, wiping away his tears. Walking away from her desk she dozed off in, remembering the blanket he meant to get for her, he started to ponder. ‘She doesn’t mean she loves me in that way. Not they way she loves Creek I bet. I mean... she can’t.’ He grabbed her Pink oversized blanket stopping in his tracks tracing her face from afar. ‘If she can’t then why can I?’
He gave up his hopeless thoughts and went back to his task. ‘I should just put her back in her bed.’ Placing the blanket around her shoulders, she nuzzled the desk her nose just grazing the fallen fabric. ‘Nah, that’s to much, she looks to peaceful for me to want to bother her anyway.’ Sighing he decided going back to his room was a better option than staring at her face for the rest of the night.
“Branch?” He stopped, “Where are you going?” She rubbed her eyes sleepy yawning.
“Back to my room. You feel asleep on your desk.” He decided to continue heading out the door.
“Wait, but we need to finish our lesson.” Yawning again she trudged over to Branch swinging her hand back and forth looking for his hand to grab.
“No, you need to go to bed.” He turned her around pushing her to her bed.
“But my speech tomorrow.” She whined as Branch pushed her on her bed.
“You’ll be fine. Promise.” Tucking her in she started giggling like a goofball. “What are you laughing about?” Annoyed he stood her still.
“You promise?” He magenta eyes meet his cold stone eyes.
“Yes, now go to bed.” Starting his way he was automatically stopped by a hand.
“Then smile for me.” Poppy dead-pinned as she wobble back and forth trying to sit up straight.
“What?” Branch stood still shaken by her request.
“If you promise I’ll do a good job then smile for me.”
“Will you go to bed and leave me alone if I do?”
“I promise!” Her eyes now wide open just like her smile.
“Fine.” He slowly and grudgingly lifted his cheeks into a crooked smile.
Poppy snorted and began to laugh at his cuteness.
“Night.” He stomped over to the door already halfway out.
“Night you big goofball.” Poppy’s smile faded away as she slowly laid down her head for another nights rest.
