i dunno if you've seen both versions enough to have an opinion on this, but for mob psycho 100, would you personally recommend dub or sub?
I started with the subs and I prefer them!
you wrote of a story yesterday of a time when you lost your keys in a frat house, and honestly i just wanted to congratulate you on how well written it was. it had great composure and sense of timing. i can tell you must practice writing a lot. thank you for sharing that fun little tale, and i wish you a good day!
Thank you!!! I’m happy you liked it!
im not an expert or anything but yeah quite often voice actors aren't told the race of the character they're portraying. or really even who their character is, in the case of much game voicework - voice actors work under strict non-disclosure agreements that severely limit their ability to know the character they're portraying. this can lead to issues such as culturally insensitive casting or a voice actor being underpaid for the importance of their character (main character vs minor)
(continued) “https://www.engadget.com/2017/09/26/video-game-voice-actors-strike-deal/as you can see by the last paragraph, voice actors (at least in games) really quite often don’t know shit about their roles”
Thank you for the link!! I’m glad you provided clarification. Overall, I hope the industry starts treating their VAs AND their fans of color better. I think Telltale has improved a lot in recent years with their VAs

you're like permanently fourteen in my head i still get distraught seeing you talk about alcohol or sex
grey this literally made me laugh aloud
am swedish with a brazilian partner and can confirm that while i have completely neutral feelings about portuguese as a language, hearing them speak it is instantly attractive on a level i dont even understand
yessss exactly! it’s not so much the fact that it’s someone speaking a different language but when a partner or a crush speaks in a foreign language it is very attractive

there are people who don't keep their eggs in the fridge????????
... yes??? i mean, not me personally, my family has always kept them in the fridge, but there are definitely people who store them on surfaces / cupboards, and that’s perfectly fine too?
Tho I should note that I BELIEVE that different countries treat their eggs differently and whilst in the UK storing eggs outside the fridge / in the fridge makes about zero difference, that might not be the case elsewhere?
#and it [femshep] somehow happened by them not focusing on writing A Female Character bc shepard had to be unisex it's so messed up #and then the few times they did focus on making A Female Character we get... that dress....... (via greytune)
grey u never fail to provide me with excellent tags. but seriously, that’s the thing about femshep that made her good! i talked about this exact concept with hoagie last night!!
bioware succeeded in writing one of the most powerful female characters of all time BY WRITING A MALE CHARACTER.
femshep, for the most part, was completely unhindered by the male gaze and sexist stereotypes. she was badass, she talked shit, she did the right thing-- or the wrong thing, depending on your temper-- and she was a completely realistic soldier. from the way she walked and fought to the way she talked, she was written just as respectfully and thoroughly as a male character.
and it was sort of an accident! they didnt put much effort into changing her character from malesheps because they didn’t expect her to become that popular! and in the process they literally wrote one of the most realistic and inspirational female characters i’ve ever seen.
