okay so, I got my roommate assignment the other day, and while the girl I'm going to be living with seems really nice, she's pretty much the polar opposite of me. She's tall, blonde, pretty, athletic, and likes to go out and party on the weekends. We've been talking on Facebook for a couple days to try to get to know each other, but from what I can gather right now, we're two completely different people that only share Kohl's, medicine, and our major as interests.
We're being reassigned two new suite mates (some drama went down between my roommate and one of the other girls- wtf I'm not even there yet), and I can't help but hope that the other girls have a little more in common with me than my roommate does. Before the switch, I would've been the only short, Internet-surfing, brunette in the suite. Which would've been a little awkward for me.
fuck it, this is all too awkward for me. I'm not even there yet and I feel awkward. I know that everyone goes through this "oh shit I'm a new person here OH THE HORROR" phase, but a part of me is wishing that I would've stayed here or gone to school with my best friend, because then at least I would've known people there...
I also know that the first few weeks will be rough as I adjust to campus and living four hours away, but I'm afraid that everyone will be like YEAH BEST FRIENDS FOREVER (like my roommate's already done; she's taking summer classes and has already hit it off really well with people because she's apparently perfect). and I'm freaking out like this before I've even had orientation. or moved-in. or anything.

also something that kind of bugs me: my roommate is on the waitlist for the fancy schmany medical program that I didn't get into, which is why she's taking classes right now because it's mandatory for the program (if she officially gets accepted). so on top of being perfect and blonde and skinny and beautiful, she also pretty much got accepted into my dream program. trying so hard not to judge or hate her but esghfdighrefdiv
regardless, she's nice. except for the awkward, "I'm a little different than you because you stay in and sit on the computer, but we can definitely still get along!"
and I'm annoying my friends talking about this all the time so I just made a text post and I know some of them will read this but suck it
