xisuma x grian x doc + grian, jim, lizzie siblings + joel BIL :3 i am a bit sick so idk if this writing is any good BUT i really like this idea
Grian having his brother-in-law (and one of his best friends) join the Hermitcraft server was a great idea! He was so excited for Joel to meet his friends and partners.
The big issue though… was that Joel, Lizzie and Jimmy did not know he was actually dating anyone. And Grian knew if Joel found out that Jimmy and Liz would find out soon after and he would have to face their wrath.
And so when Joel is in a meeting for the first time, Grian requests that he, Lizzie and Jimmy could come for a sibling meeting afterwards.
Lizzie and Jimmy are waiting outside the meeting room when everyone starts filing out. Tango is incredibly excited to see Jimmy by surprise, but understands that siblings come first (although he does make Jimmy promise to grab a quick coffee with him before he leaves the world.)
When Lizzie and Jimmy enter, they see Joel and Grian and arguably the two most intimidating members of the server (Doc and Xisuma) at either side of Grian.
“Haha… sooo, is this where we get our invite to the server too?” Jimmy joked, painfully awkward as he and Lizzie sat beside Joel (at the other end of the long table.) He got huffed out laughs from Joel and Grian and a slight pinch from Lizzie.
“So, um, since you three are rarely on Hermitcraft, you don’t know everything that happens on the server. And you don’t know all of our relationships and such. But with Joel joining us, I have something important to tell you all… Xisuma, Doc and I are in a polyamorous relationship and have been for a while now,” The blonde’s voice broke, “I’m sorry guys. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, I just… I didn’t know how you’d react, we got together before any of us even came out!”
All five were quite shocked by his out burst. Clearly, this had been weighing on him so much for years now. His sister immediately rushed to hug him from behind as X and Doc took his hands. Grian let himself cry in the comforting touch of his partners, sister and a few moments later his brothers too.
They had a lot they needed to discuss and understand, but for now it was a massive weight off Grian’s shoulders and they were all happy for that.
It's just never felt like the right time. Which makes sense because the 'right time' never really exists. Not for something like this, anyway. There's always something - however small - that makes it imperfect. Especially when you're Grian and putting things off is something you are very talented at doing.
He couldn't do that anymore, though. He'd rather tell his family outright than all of them finding out second-hand.
Doc and X knew, of course, but they didn't realise how torn up Grian was feeling about it. It ended up with a lot of emotions in a lot of different ways but they can all agree on one thing. That they all want Grian to be happy.
Jimmy, Lizzie and Joel can also agree that they have several years worth of siblinghood to catch up on too.
