Three years after the tragic death of his husband, Sherlock Holmes is a man merely surviving. Surely he will never love again. No one can be Victor. Sherlock abandoned his one passion,”The Work”, for his husband. Now his flat is no longer a home. He finds his present job boring. When his friend suggests returning to his case work Sherlock is anxious about how out of practice he is. However, at the very first encounter with the newest member of his team, Sherlock’s mind is flooded with deductions. This sends Sherlock and the new man, John Watson, on an unexpected journey. (This story is now Complete on AO3)
Based on one of my comfort movies this is a Johnlock story about finding one’s way after the world collapses, opening one’s heart to new people, and realising what one needs to feel complete.
