As a Griffith lover who's also a bit of a man hating feminist I occasionally remember that Griffiths worst nightmare was a woman who has always shown profound love for him, who had dedicated her entire existence to helping him further his dream, and who he's always taken for granted genuinely loving him enough to take care of him, even when he has no prospects of greatness and he's too disabled to take care of himself and i am filled with so so much rage

LOOK Berserk is peak fiction and I strongly feel that people who claim it's Misogynist and Shouldn't Exist because It Contains Graphic Depiction of Sexual Violence Are Wrong BUT ALSO it does bother me that Miura is comfortable depicting page upon page of women being sexually assaulted for the sake of worldbuilding/brutal realism while religiously avoiding drawing his woman characters with body hair, even with characters like Casca who most definitely would not be shaving in her situation, class, time period etc. Like why is this kind of graphic misogynist violence more acceptable to you then drawing what most Adult Women Actually Look Like

Griffith always kinda sucked tbh

(which is not to say you can't enjoy or like him as a fictional character, I certainly do, but for me the horror of the eclipse lies in the fact that there were always signs he was a power tripping freak who was capable of doing something like that but that his friends, followers and the readers were blindsided by his more admirable and likable qualities + insisting he was manipulated by the Godhand or that "Griffith died to become Femto" misses the point). Griffith was not always a monster but he's always been a bad person.
