okay for the "questions for your rook and their partner" thing, i know you said no question three bc Oof Defining Things (valid, and also, same. lol the number of times i've hemmed and hawed over whether to use an & vs / for ships), but what about the second part of that question? would anyone in the lighthouse think there was Something between belasara, for whatever amorphous definition of "Something" applies here?

Questions for your Rook and their partner (accepting for Bellara and Ghilasara)

I'm allergic to Defining Things, frankly (Lucanisara are outliers), so I also don't think there'd be a Definite vibe for Ghilasara and Bellara in the Lighthouse. I see the Lighthouse as kind of having a homely atmosphere, and everyone mostly being "oh, that's Rook and Bellara doing their Rook and Bellara thing". You couldn't really get anything out of Ghilasara by asking her what's up, and asking Bellara could send her in a stutter stupor mode, so you also wouldn't really get an answer from either side.

But. Derailing your question, I invite you to consider Ghilasara's post-canon situation because I personally think it'd be much funnier.

Imagine you are a Warden in Weisshaupt. So there is your boss First Warden, and her best friend Bellara, and they sleep in each other's beds third to half of the time, so there's gotta be something in there. But, also there is that First Claw guy or whatever, and you are 98% sure there is something there, as well. But also, whenever Davrin is brought up, Ghilasara talks about him like they were sworn to each other, or something. Leaves an Impression. And sometimes you see two other Antivans coming to the keep specifically to see the boss, and what's up with them, are they a thing too? Where does this begin and end??

Ghilasara would absolutely let all the rumours slide out of her amusement, and any wardens who are actually privy to what's going on (Bellara, Antoine, Evka etc.) would be under direct orders to not shed light on the situation in any way (I 💙 abusing authority)

WOOPS i forgot to send thedas weekend prompts earlier this week. anyway, hi, happy thedas weekend! how does "A statue of Andraste, blood spatter at its feet" from the artifacts of thedas list sound, for one of your inquisitors?

It's a small village, somewhere at the ass end of Ferelden. One of those villages that is mostly just a chantry, a few houses, a well, and a series of paths. Or it was, at least, until a rift opened above the well. The rift is closed now, but there's no one left. They've checked every house, and now the chantry.

There's not much in the building. A few benches. A rug along the aisle. A small altar, assembled from odds and ends the villagers likely supplied themselves. The statue of Andraste at the end of the aisle looks like it cost more than the entirety of the village, likely brought there from a larger village.

Most of the benches are broken. The rug is shredded and scattered with torn pages from a prayer book. The altar was clearly used to block the door at some point, before being smashed aside.

There's a body crumpled at Andraste's feet, still warm.

Ten minutes sooner, Owain thinks dully. If we'd been ten minutes sooner.

Someone is speaking from behind him, voices trading back and forth, but Owain's not listening as closely as he likely should be--

He nearly jumps out of his skin when Aneirin snaps his fingers two inches from Owain's nose.

"Did you hear me?"

"Sorry?" Owain peels his eyes away from the statue.

"We need to go," Aneirin repeats. "Cole's getting... uncomfortable."

"Eerie, we can't just--"

Aneirin cuts him off. "We can't clean up every disaster we pass by, Oh. The Maker will welcome them regardless of their resting place, and in the meantime, Cole's about to chew his arm off like a snared fennec."

Aneirin gives him a pat on the shoulder before turning away, heading back to the door.

Owain lingers a moment longer, staring at Andraste, and then down at his hand.

He is the Herald of Andraste. That's supposed to mean something. In the silence of the ruined chantry, though, the title rings hollow.

written for @thedasweekend. I like writing ambiance and scenery. it's very relaxing, even if Owain is not particularly relaxed by it.

Ivy hums a lot! Very randomly, no real reason why, no consistent tune. They just hum :)

12. Something that annoys your Rook?

Another thing that annoys them is inconsistency <3 Ivy hates when things do not go as planned despite what the games approach to Rook is. Usually Ivy does in fact plan and when things go wrong they get very irritated about it

For Ivy, I think if it’s available to them the first thing they’d do is go for a hot bath and get into a change of clothes immediately. But if that’s not in the cards for them they’d likely tough it out until it is, they are resilient!

6. What’s your OC’s idea of a cozy night in?—

Definitely having their feet up on some form of footrest along with tomes/spellsbooks at their side. They’re either studying or cleaning up their weapons to pass the time with something to drink on the side.

Teehee, thank you <3 Ghilasara IS one of the biggest source of problems in her own life. With the most recent WIP in mind, the bad blood between her and Caterina is mostly Ghilasara's fault :)

There is a very special place in my heart for characters who could arguably be better off IF they had done something differently, but they just. Choose not to.
