Custom fantasy- and history-inspired clothing commissions

Do you wish you looked like a little woodland creature that delivers mail to forest denizens? Or a louche 18th-century dandy? Or some type of wizard's apprentice? Well then you're in luck! For the first time in YEARS I am opening to sewing commissions and my absolute favourite thing is to help people live their hobbitty dreams.

What I do:

Anything!

Well... okay. Most things. I'm particularly good at gender-affirming historical clothing, nontraditional wedding/celebration attire, and historybounding or fantasy inspired outfits. I mostly make clothing for everyday wear, but I'm also happy to work on cosplays.

I especially like to make poet shirts/pirate shirts (call them what you like, it's the Mr. Darcy shirt) as well as capes and cloaks of all stripes. But like I said, I'm open to most things. I like to collaborate—so come to me with an idea or some inspiration characters, and we'll talk. I also love vests.

One type of project I particularly love is making unique wedding attire. I'm not your best choice for white dresses or tuxedos, but if you want something really unique (or especially something fantasy-inspired) for your wedding, show me your Pinterest board! Below are some photos of me and my wife in the gowns I made, but I'm super interested in making things that aren't dresses as well, like decorative waistcoats or very dramatic wedding capes. Please note that for fitted bodices, we'll need to coordinate some type of fitting, either in-person or by mail.

How much it costs:

You tell me! Instead of having fixed prices, I want to hear what you can afford and then adjust what I make to get to that. I'm very transparent with my pricing: I need you to cover the cost of materials, shipping, and a reasonable hourly rate for my labour.

Realistically, a garment made from scratch isn't going to be comparable to the low costs you'll see for fast fashion; and the more frills you want (hand stitched lacing holes, trim, fully hidden seams, very specific tailoring, etc.) the more it's going to cost. So come to me with your budget and we'll talk from there!

How does it work

If you're interested send me a drawing of how you want the commissioned thing to look like or send me pictures from the internet so I can make something similar, then I'll sew it, send you photos, and we'll discuss how much you're willing to pay

How long will you have to wait for a commission to be done

It depends on how many commissions I'll be doing at once, but usually only a few days. Shipping can take some time depending on how far away you live (I live in Poland so orders from Europe can be done and shipped in a few days but orders from other continents might need more time to arrive)

Payment

If you have Moi dix Mois merch (CDs, DVDs, guitar picks, postcards etc) or any Moi-même-Moitié things (even small things like posters, postcards, keychains) we can trade, if you don't we can discuss how much you want to pay, I'll find something in that price on mercari, you'll buy me that thing and send it to me and I'll send you the thing you commissioned, I send the commissioned things by post mail

CLOAK COMMISSIONS OPEN!!

Hello All!

Do you want to feel like you just walked out of middle earth? Want to give off the vibe that you can summon ravens at a moment's notice? Want a blanket, but make it fashion? Are you simply trying to start an outerwear renaissance?

You are in luck babey!

I am currently opening 5 (five) slots for a handmade fleece cloak to anyone in the USA! Base cost of the cloak will be the price of the fabric (I'll need 2 yards!) , shipping (should range from $15-$20), and then $30 for labor! Here's what one looks like:

So what's the deal? Well, in summary:

Step 1: Email me at [email protected] letting me know you would like a slot! (One cloak = one slot) This is the stage where we can discuss if you want anything funky. The standard cloak I'm making should be fairly one size fits all for adults and approx 31 inches heightwise from shoulder to hem. If you would like things like a floor length cloak, buttons all the way down, pockets, other, let me know and we can discuss prices, looks, etc! The pockets will be hemmed rather than edged with bias tape.

Step 2: You can either a) send me 2 yards of fabric to cloakify or b) can tell me what type of pattern you're lookin for (solid color, a print pattern, an animal, etc) and I will send you pictures of whatever options I find! I will initially look at Joann fabrics, but if there's nothing that strikes your fancy I will check spoonflower! You also get to pick out a toggle clasp or button you would like!

Step 3: Fabric acquiring time! If we do option b from the step above, I will email you a copy of the receipt and that will be part of your total!

Step 4: I make you cloak >:3. This will be done within 2 business weeks of fabric acquirement unless told otherwise.

Step 5: I send pics of the completed product! This is where you let me know if you'd like any tweaks or adjustments! If you are happy with how it looks, this is when I'll take payment! I will be accepting payment either through paypal or venmo! One the payment is through I'll ship if off to you with a tracking number through USPS!

Step 6: bask in the swag of having a cloak B)))
