The Batman Who Laughs was overused, but his main comic had good stuff in it

James Jr. being medicated and somewhat redeemed was nice (it should’ve stayed that way)

The Batman Who Laughs and Grim Knight were great villains for Bruce to fight

Jim probably knew Bruce was Batman and Alfred helping his kid was sweet

Joker and Batman’s promise to each other was perfect for their dynamic

I think this comic is great if you ignore how overhyped and crazy the multiverse stuff got afterwards

-Batman who Laughs: He represents Batman's fear of the fact that he and Joker are not so different.

-The Drowned: She represents Batman's fear and paranoia towards metahumans and his love for Catwoman.

-The Red Death: He represents Batman's fear of losing the Batfamily and not being fast enough, but also his age slowing him down.

-The Dawnbreaker: He represents Batman's fear of power without discipline and his inability to move on from his parents' deaths.

-The Murder Machine: He represents Batman's fear of being too overreliant on technology, but also his relationship with Alfred as his main father figure.

-The Devastator: He represents Batman's fear of Superman losing his sanity and his inability to fully trust him.

-The Merciless: He represents Batman's fear of breaking his no-kill code, how Diana keeps him grounded and his inability to put an end to his crusade due to his enemies coming back.

-The Grim Knight: He represents Batman's fear of using guns, but also his relationship with James Gordon and of taking his war against crime too extreme or too literally.
