I just think it’s super interesting how the attention storm has gotten is fetishization but people fawning over rains ass or how tiny and skinny dew is is apparently completely fine. Food for thought on this fine day
Chris making his squad call him ALPHA just gets to me. I fear I would laugh at him

been thinking about the concept of using art as therapy sessions as this website frequently does, and why this happens. i think while the obvious answers are there (people are essentially homebrewing a therapist as the audience as a way to cope, people are attempting to open up or express something they havent learned to include in their perception of themself yet) i think theres another answer specifically on tumblr too: there is a fear to create art that says anything without it immediately being an admittance of self. people have gotten so used to the idea of "the audience is the witness and the character is me" that they feel unable to express anything other than their internal monologue they'd tell a therapist, because they are at the mercy of tumblr users reading them in good faith- something that tumblr users are not very good at doing. peoples artistic voice mimicks the therapized client-to-doctor speak because to portray yourself as at odds with the thoughts in your head, the ideas you have, gives you an easy out to people reading into your words. people don't have to figure out what you're telling them because you've exhausted yourself of explanations. i don't think this is a bad thing inherently, i just think its very interesting. so much art now is focused on trying to express ones self but also escape the common assumptions that would be put down on those expressions. i feel that too very often, but i'm constantly having to fight against the latter, not the former, which i feel like is where some artists get messed up. the former is not the problem.
I'm halting all of my ocs existence on account of being bad at a video game, sorry
