EM: Relapse

A/N: yay relapse after 139 days:)) so I wanted to remake the story I made with Lesso with Elaine. 

TW: SH

a/n: reader is in a relationship with Elaine. Elaine doesn't know about y/n's SH relapse.  

Y/n's POV

Crying at my desk, the guilt eating away at me. I had relapsed after being over a year clean. I was disappointed in myself for going back. I don't know how to handle it. Blood still flowing onto the bandages underneath my blazer. Glad that I have an office to myself.

Elaine's POV

Doing the rounds of the office, making sure that all the employee's are in working I walk past y/n's office and hear quiet sobbing coming from inside. Worried I knock on the door. I get no answer, so I open the door and see her shaking form, sitting at her desk. I walk closer to her and see the tears making their way down her face. My heart breaks at the sight of her. I sit down on her desk near her, pushing some of her y/h/c hair out of her face. She opens her y/e/c and sees me. She opens her mouth to try and speak but nothing comes out.

"It's ok you don't have to speak yet. Just take deep breaths for me sweetheart." she does her best to follow my instructions.

She finally calms down but the tears still fall.

"My darling what's got you in such a state?" I ask her softly.

"I'm sorry if I disturbed you El,"

"Oh honey you didn't. I'm worried darling. Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" I ask

"Um..."

"Darling I'm here, I'm not going to judge,"

"I-um... I relapsed for the first time in over a year."

"Oh darling, I'm sorry. Do you want to show me?" I ask carefully. My heartbreaking even more. Wordlessly she rolls up her sleeves and unravels the bloody bandage showing the scars and fresh cuts littering her arms.

"There's more," she whispers

"Do you want to show me?" she lifts her shirt showing another bloody bandage which she unravels showing her stomach full of cuts.

"Sweetheart have you cleaned these?" I ask she shakes her head.

"Do you want me to clean them for you?"

"It's ok I'll do it later,"

"Darling it's better to clean them now as there is a smaller chance of infection." I tell her softly.

"Ok," she agrees. I grab a first aid kit, cleaning the wounds and wrapping fresh bandages over them.

"Darling when you feel like this can you please come to me? I don't want to lose you, ok?"

"I promise I will El,"

 I pull her into a hug. "thank you for everything." she says 

"of course I can't lose you darling, I love you too much."

"I love you too El."
