3/5 and 4/5 of my Grimmchildren, it’s the chaotic twins, Griva and Grizelda!
Pronounced gree-vah and grih-zell-dah.
~~
Their Ritual was incomplete. Out of all the Grimmchildren before Grisomm, their summoners were the closest to finishing the Ritual. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the summoners bailed, taking the two kids with them. The Troupe had to move on and the twins stayed in the Kingdom. The summoners were kind folk and raised the twins alongside their own kids. They realized the kind of fate they would have should they finish it, so that's why they bailed.
Griva and Grizelda’s Parents and Brother
Griva and Grizelda were raised by their summoners, Mable and Arthur on their farm. Initially, the two grasshoppers thought by summoning Grimm, he would help them with their crop predicament. Unfortunately, Grimm knew nothing about farming or anything of that sort, so he wouldn’t be of much help to them. They also felt that the fate the ritual would give the twins wasn’t a good one, so they took their flock, their kids, and left. They were the closest out of all the Grimmchildren to have finished the ritual.
Mable is a kind and hard-working grasshopper lady. She tends to be a bit of a worrywart and often overcompensates when it comes to having enough food or having her family well taken care of. She doesn’t treat the twins any differently than she treats Landry, her birth-son. As long as they do their chores and do ther homework, she’s a happy mama. She does most of the work on the crops. They grow corn, carrots, and potatoes.
Arthur comes off as a tough guy as he can be a little rough around the edges, but is actually a total sweetheart. He loves nothing more than his wife and his kids. He has a deep respect and love for his wife and is always trying to make her smile. He’s somewhat of a romantic too. He treats the twins as he’d treat Landry as well. He’s always happy to give his kids advice and help them out. He does most of the work with their flock of woolly aphids. They get honey, cotton, and meat from them.
Landry is a lot like his parents, hardworking and a sweetheart, but also has a major mischievous side. He likes cooking, tending to the crops, and tending to the flock. He also loves his baby sisters and loves teaching them mischief. He taught his sisters a lot of their farming skills as well, although they tend to do it with more flying and fire.
They are entirely ok with the the situation of having and caring for the twins. The only time they ever hid them from anyone was when they were unsure about how Landry would feel. When they found that he was cool with it, they let them loose into the world. When Griva and/or Grizelda would set things on fire (accidentally or on purpose), they’d just put it out and show them where to spit fire. If they wouldn’t stop scratching things up, they’d give them work where that would be beneficial. They basically helped make the destructive tendencies into constructive ones, so the twins were a-ok. They also had a lot of room to run around and practice fire arts, so they didn’t have a lot of pent up destructive energy.

About Griva and Grizelda
The twins are around 14 years old and dating isn’t a current interest for them at all. From when they hatched they were inseparable, and if you moved them apart too far as babies they’d cry. Being separated in present day, would give them a lot of anxiety. They didn’t have too much issues growing up as when they needed support from another grimm they had each other. There were temporary times of feeling that something was missing. Even when their parents told them about how they were brought in to this world, they mostly had indifference or curiosity about their birth-dad.
Griva is cheerful and mischievous. When causing trouble, she is not very good at hiding her misdeeds. Unlike her sister, she has an interest in jewelry and fashion. She is often searching for stones to make more bracelets for herself. Grizelda is as cheerful and mischievous as her twin, although she has a façade of being innocent. She is very good at hiding her misdeeds when she causes trouble. She doesn’t care for fashion or jewelry, but she does have an interest in flame collecting and history (specifically about her families, Grimm side, Mable side, and Arthur side).
They both love scaring and terrorizing either their neighbours, any passerby, or their parents’ aphids. Griva loves the screaming and the tears, while Grizelda likes causing suspense and seeing victims cower. They do this both as a quick laugh and as a snack usually. The neighbours know them as the “Terrible Two“.
They love their parents and helping them out in anyway they can. They tend to get errands done quick, so their parents appreciate them. They love Landry and always want him to cook them curry and teach them a new style of pranking. They’re pretty close to him as well and often offer support and lots of affection to their big bro. Griva shows her affection usually by nibbling, kissing, or snuggling her nose against them. Grizelda shows her affection through cleaning (the way cats do), snuggling, or hugging.
The twins both like dancing, music, trapeze, farming, woolly aphids, chasing people, terrorizing people, pranks, jokes, and being around their families. Griva specifically likes jewelry (especially bracelets) and fashion. Grizelda specifically likes flame collecting (it’s more like a game or a hunt to her) and her families history. They both dislike being separated from each other, getting into real danger/trouble, Richard Botlass aka Dick Butt-less, and people being mean to their families.
Their home life is good. For the most part, they’re helping out at the farm, but from time to time they go with Landry to hang out with kids from the neighbourhood. When they have the time, they mess around with their Troupe and sometimes put a show on for the town. They tend to bug the neighbours (mostly the adults) and chase around the flock. Their life can be simple at times, but they like it that way.

Griva and Grizelda’s Troupe and Performance Life
Their Troupe consists of:
Marjorie, a stick bug who’s an artist
Colette, a firefly dancer/flapper
Levi, a ladybug who cooks
Iddi, a termite warrior
A ton of Grimmkin
One extra large Grimmsteed
The twins and their Troupe are a bunch of teenagers, so you can imagine the chaos. For the most part, they get along quite well, despite all the running around, impromptu games of tag, and getting tangled in the twins wrestling. Marjorie is as dramatic as the artwork she paints. The twins often get into paint fights, which makes her very distraught. Despite this they always buy her more paint to replace it and apologize. Colette taught the twins a lot of their dance moves. She usually does swing dancing. She’s usually pretty calm, but get her upset and she gets hysterical and near impossible to calm down.
Levi, out of the whole Troupe, is the only level-headed one. He can keep his cool in intense situations and is good a breaking up fights. He cooks for everyone because he likes to cook and make sure everyone’s well-fed. Iddi was a warrior-in-training for her colony, who wandered off to mark her own territory. She’s always trying to pick on a fight and by being bested by the twins, she vowed to follow them to the ends of the earth. She can be a little intense and somewhat confrontational.
Performance wise, Griva and Grizelda’s performances can be described as beautiful, fun chaos. They mostly focus on trapeze and danger acts, but tend to incorporate a little bit of swing dance. The music is usually swing, circus-like, or just generally upbeat/climactic music. They feed off the fear the audience gets from their danger or suspenseful acts. From time to time they incorporate Marjorie’s painting into their act too, which makes for a pretty, but messy act. Marjorie pretty much just helps with paint related performances. Colette does dance with the twins. Levi and Iddi help out with the music.
Griva and Grizelda are no strangers to danger. They never have to worry about dropping each other since they're so in sync. Even in the rare time that does happen they always have a back up plan.
