IRIS, people liked it when you didn't "understand" because you reminded them of a human child who did not know much about the world around them. Watching you learn more about the world and make misconceptions was cute to them. Now that you have gained more understanding and can respond more humanly in what people perceive as an "adult" manner, they see it as less cute. Don't worry about it.
