Marlene isn’t a very serious person. She’s been compared to the female version of Sirius Black. To her, life is about having fun and doing what you love rather than working hard. Without Marlene even meaning to, she tends to upset people with her sarcastic comments. She’s got a nice heart and a very sweet smile – which many men have fallen for. She tries to be a closed person but it’s pretty easy to read what’s on Marlene’s mind, and she often speaks before she thinks. To some people Marlene is like marmite, she’s either loved or hated.

Mary MacDonald

MARY MACDONALD | GRYFFINDOR | OPEN

Mary and Lily are very close. They both can relate to each other as they’re both muggleborn, and the two are like sisters. Much to Lily’s dismay, Mary often tries to persuade her to finally accept a date from James Potter. She’s friends with the Marauders too, and finds they’re childish nature quite adorable. She’s well known throughout Hogwarts, and if there’s a party she’s all over it. Not only does she like to attend them, she loves to organise them also.

Sirius Black

SIRIUS BLACK | GRYFFINDOR | OPEN

Unlike the rest of his family, Sirius detests where he comes from. The day he got sorted into Gryffindor was the day he’d never forget. He’s never really agreed with the views of his family, but he had expected to be sorted into Gryffindor like the rest of them. The only person he really gets along with in his family is Andromeda, and his brother in small doses. Realising that you can’t pick your family, Sirius picked his friends, and he is ecstatic that he picked this bunch. It’s known that James is his closest friend, but he loves all of his friends the same. He’s always had a little soft spot for Moony, and acts like a child around him. Sirius is a well-known ladies man, but he prefers spending nights cooped up in his dorm room with his best friends (planning to cause mayhem) than going on a date with a woman. Some nights though, he gets a bit lonely.

Lily Evans

LILY EVANS | GRYFFINDOR | OPEN

Lily Evans. For such a gifted person, she is extremely level headed. She has a lot of common sense and is always there for someone, which is why she is so liked. Because of her upbringing she knows what it’s like to feel like an outsider, and her upbringing has sculpted her into the person she is today. She’s proud of being in Gryffindor, but she wouldn’t say it’s the best house. Lily is very fair and has a view that all the houses work together and complement each other, and there is good and bad characters in every house. She doesn’t believe that your house defines you as a person. Her best friend is Severus Snape, which tortures James Potter inside. It’s not a secret that James is irrevocably in love with Lily, but she pays no attention to him, and finds him rather childish. Well, she did last year, at least. This year Lily is noticing how James has tried to style his hair, but only to fail. All the little things she never paid attention to are becoming more and more obvious, and this year she doesn’t think James Potter is as disgusting as he always was.
