CRT Mold

in the tags of my last post i mentioned how a lot of Rainbow 100 CRTs get very moldy and i wanted to make a longer post about it since its not something i see talked about very often!

as you can see from the images above/below, mold can grow between the CRT itself and the glass protector screen used in older CRTs. im not entirely sure why, but it seems like sometimes the glue holding the protective glass on can retain a lot of moisture. the good news is that this can (usually) be fixed!

though this may vary between models, generally the steps are to (SAFELY) take the CRT apart, apply heat to the front of the screen (around 50°C will work) using a heat gun or a hairdryer to soften the glue, carefully separate the two pieces using a scraping tool, and scrape + wipe the rest of the moldy glue off.

(THIS IS BY ABSOLUTELY NO MEANS A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO DOING THIS YOURSELF. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE CRTS APART OR DO ANY MAINTENANCE ON THEM UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING. AS CUTE AS THEY ARE, CRTS ARE NOT TOYS. THEY CAN HURT YOU.)

Ripping open the brachial artery. I also hc that Jay would study a lot of anatomy in order to come up with unique ways to use his element. So he knew what he was doing… plus his fangs helped…

"Sure." He tosses an arm over, grabbing you by the shoulder and pulling you in. He presses up to you in such a way that you can hear the nastiness inside of him squelch, and the internal movement stirs up a horrible stench of rotten meat and infected wounds. Its not fun. You can feel that he's quite warm for a corpse though, and his brief hold surrounds you quite nicely. He lets go after 10 seconds and pats you on the shoulder.

Im so angry at blood sausages they fuckgin changed the recipe or something like theres these god damned skin chunks taste like uterus tissue clots or something embedded next to the little blood grains and i cant eat them makes me gag man im pissoed off where is the holiday joy where is the clunk free blood (sorry for swearing)
