HG 1/144 Kshatriya with Repaired Binders. I happened to have alot of alclad Candy Red’s lying around so I decided to build this for the /r/gunpla discord group build
A small GB initiated and organized by Pak Mael, with builds create from Bandai 1/144 scale HGBF Super Fumina.
The GB time frame is about 5 months, and 12 builds make it for the gathering, which was held in conjunction with CTFKL3, display under GBase Kuantan booth. I was invited as judge together with Boy Alexi. In case some of you not recognize him, maybe this build will ring a bell. As for the judging part, it’s base on Malaysia Modeler League style (I will go through this MML thing in my next post). The builds is given rank base on the point given by judges, either platinum, gold, silver, bronze or merit. Platinum = 1000 – 971 Gold = 970 – 901 Silver = 900 – 751 Bronze = 750 – 501 Merit = 500 and below Here are some photo for the build. Photo credit to respective builder and Shariff Zyer Gito.
The result for the build (average points from both judges)
Cenas Chai- 590 Bronze Rank
Fadhil Ibrahim – 685 Bronze Rank Evaritus Lau – 570 Bronze Rank
Pak Mael – 910 Gold Rank Shariff Zyer Gito – 550 Bronze Rank Tan Ying Jun – 587 Bronze Rank
Firdaus Hairee – 627 Bronze Rank
Muhamed Sukry – 562 Bronze Rank
Hafizan Nasir – 525 Bronze Rank

CTFKL (Collectors Toy Fair Kuala Lumpur) is an renown event for toys collectors in Malaysia, this year is the third event organized by the same organizer, and was held at Dewan Perdana Keramat Mall. The very special thing about this event are, it’s organized by toy collectors and without big sponsor, or big brand. A successful event, and it’s packed with people, barely have space to move. phew… Here’s video cover by Awesome Toys. I appear in 2:30 >_< haha.
Although it’s a small group build, but it is a lot of fun meeting new friends and gunpla modelers. Now, let’s start with the next group build, which is very interesting topic as well, it’s call Insectoid Group Build. The gathering tentatively planned for Hobby Expo which is end of July. Well, hope the completed build will increase. All the best, hope i can finish mine as well. :)
Super Fumina Group Build in CTFKL 3 A small GB initiated and organized by Pak Mael, with builds create from Bandai 1/144 scale HGBF Super Fumina.
The Goufmazing I was invited to take part in my very first group build and the theme was: THE GOUF! I chose to do a 1:144 kitbash of a HGBF Gouf R35 & HGBF Zaku Amazing - and dubbed it...Goufmazing! Took the legs and backpack off of the Zaku Amazing, filled in some spots on the legs with putty and sanded it smooth. Added them to the Gouf's frame. Had to modify the pegs for the backpack so that they'd be flush with the back. Sealed up everything with putty :) Primed with Mr. Suracer 1500 Black, did two layers of Mr. Metal Color Iron and Stainless (after dry, buffed to a shine!) and then applied 4 coats of Mr. Crystal Color XC05 Sapphire Blue. The swords were painted with two light layers of Mr. Crystal Color XC03 Ruby Red - which gave it a really nice frosted glass look that glimmers like golden fire in the sunlight :) The weapons are the swords from the Gouf and the Ball and Chain are part of the Kotobukiya MSG weapon unit 25 saber & hammer set. All parts and paints were purchased from my friends over at Gundam Planet Interested in seeing more of my work? Come visit me on facebook!
so because i have nothing els to do other then look at amazon, iv basically decided what i will attempt for the group build. the ideas aren't very inspired but what ever.
either a zaku death squad (basically mix up some weapons for like 6 zaku kits and paint up camo patterns on them with some gundam markers. doodle little decals like gundam/GM heads as skulls on their armor. see if i can attempt to put tiny writing on one, like on a gouf put "head hunter" or something on his sword/shield)
and the other idea is like a GM spec ops group (same idea really. do up some camo patterns on them and give them assorted weapons and armor. maybe ill try battle damage/ware on them)
kinda thinking ill try to give them a Vietnam era vibe. like peace signs maybe on some of their stuff and really cheesy things like "the widow maker" on a gun.
never tried my hand at a custom before BUT i am hella good at painting things so we'll see how this disaster turns out.
i mean, all the supplies and kits together is like, 160 or so dollars of amazon, give or take any other outside things i need to get for it.
SO LIKE i heard about the group build thing from iamtheun-weasel for gunpla and i was talking to my boyfriend about it and i said i wasn't sure if i wanted to try it and HE SAID HE'd HELP ME BUY SOME OF THE KITS TO DO IT AND AHH I LOVE HIM, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, AHH.
