When Your Aunt's a Mecha Fan.

*in the dorm lounge of Beacon Academy, Jaune sat as he talked to someone on his Scroll.*

Jaune: Aunt Kelly, you know you don't have to drop in every time you finish a project right?

Kelly: Aw, come on~! I get show off my new project AND visit my favorite nephew? Win-win!

Jaune: I'm your ONLY nephew.

Kelly: And I still don't know how that happened. Simone had enough kids and Yeva had at least two. Yet, out of all ten of you, you're the only boy. *a beeping sound plays through the speaker.* Oop! Looks like I'm coming in to land. I'll see you soon~

Jaune: *hangs up and sighs to himself as he stands up.* Here we go again. *he begins walking to the courtyard/docks.*

*he would be joined by his team and team RWBY as he arrived.*

Yang: So, your aunt on your mom's side is coming to visit?

Jaune: Yep.

Ruby: What kind of projects does she work on, by the way?

Jaune: *could see what he would spark if he told her, but knew it was probably best to prepare her.* Weapons and armor, mostly.

Ruby: *gasps in excitement.* Weapons?! She's a weapon smith?! That's so cool!

Blake: You said she should be here soon. Where's the Bullhead?

Jaune: *looks out to the horizon and sees a large green dot approaching.* No Bullhead. Just Aunt Kelly.

Nora: *getting excited now.* Can she fly? Is she a super hero?

Jaune: Looks like yes to the first one. Not really to the second part, unfortunately.

Weiss: Then how IS she getting here?

*A loud Thump and small explosion ripped their attention to the docks. A woman in armor walks out from the cloud of dust.*

Kelly: I'm here~!

Weiss: *taken aback and nearly falls in shock.* How did...?! Who the...?! What?!

Jaune: *waves* Hi Aunt Kelly. So this is the new one?

Kelly: You bet! My best armor ever! *she notices the girls (and Ren) around Jaune and smiles to them.* Hello everyone! Are you Jaune's friends?

Jaune: yep. *he introduces all of them, but as he gets to Pyrrha, Kelly interrupts him.*

Kelly: Oh yes. The supposed Invincible Girl.

Pyrhha: *hearing 'supposed' sparked something in Pyrrha.* Oh? You've heard of me?

Kelly: Some basic stuff. Nothing too impressive, honestly. Four junior tournament wins. Big whoop.

Jaune: *gets between the two to try to mitigate what was coming.* Aunt Kelly, these are my friends, remember? Be nice.

Pyrrha: *actually pushes past Jaune to stare down his aunt.* No, no. By all means. I'd love to hear her try to downplay my achievements and the hard work of myself and my fellow combatants. *her smile twitched with a competitive edge and a warning tone.*

Kelly: *one that was met in kind.* If you think you can handle fighting a grown-up, I'm more than willing to use you as a test run for my new machine. Could be a decent warm-up.

*the challenge was cast and it was too late to stop it. Jaune just sighed, knowing this will backfire.*

*once they reached the arena, Nora took the announcement position to introduce the fighters.*

Nora: In this corner! Pyrrha Nikos, the Invincible Girl and the top combat student of Beacon Academy!

Pyrrha: I hope you're prepared to actually fight in that clunky junk pile.

Nora: and the other, Jaune's Aunt Kelly.

Kelly: *chuckles, knowing they wouldn't know anything else.* I'm Kelly Killgrave. *the wings of her suit rose up as small funnel-shaped drones flew out from underneath.*

And I'll teach you a proper lesson, girl.

*the match was rendered no contest when Professor Goodwitch interrupted them before they could destroy more of the arena than they already had. Both fighters were punished for letting their tempers get the better of them, unhuntsmanlike conduct, and use of military-grade robotics on campus without clearance.*

First kit of 2026 and I figured I’d make it memorable! Super fun to build even if the pins were kind of a pain lol the bulk makes posing hard but I’m pleased with the results, also did a tiny bit of painting so the skills are slowly increasing lol
