So I’d love to see the Chain taking care of a sick reader (preferably with COVID symptoms) who is feeling just awful and feels like a burden on the Chain.

Preferably poly!Chain with little brother or adoptive son Wind?

As I said, just whenever you feel like it. This is actually my first time submitting an ask EVER, so I’m nervous and don’t really know how to do stuff? Like, I’m not sure if I’m crossing any boundaries or being annoying or disrespectful or anything.

You totally don’t have to do it, but it would be great. Also, some advice on the whole ‘submitting asks’ thing would be great, with or without my fic request.

Being sick sucked, it was something everyone knew.

You had woken up with a sore throat, feeling like a Hinox had jumped on you while you were sleeping. You were pretty sure you had a fever, too, as you kept feeling hot, cold, then hot again.

Your partners didn't take long to notice, the first being Warriors who had noticed your restlessness. The captain quickly rested his cold (or maybe your skin was too warm?) hand against your forehead.

"You have a fever." He informed you, confirming your thoughts. "Hey, Wild!" The mentioned blond looked up after hearing his title. "Can you make some soup? They're sick."

The champion nodded and started getting all the necessary ingredients. Hyrule and Wind got closer, and Twilight sent you a concerned glance before deciding to try and help the other with the food. The rancher wasn't the best cook, but he could help with the ingredients.

"We should tell Time and rest for a few days." Hyrule reached to touch your forehead like Warriors had earlier.

"I'll go tell him!" Wind offered, a small frown on his face. He ran to look for the older hero who was pretty much their leader by now.

Four walked to you with a canteen full of water. "Here, you should drink a lot of water." He helped you drink after you nodded, making sure you didn't choke.

You felt a bit overwhelmed, loved, but overwhelmed with the three of them so close to you. Plus, you didn't want them getting sick too.

"Guys" a cough interrupted you, but you continued. "You should be careful, you could get sick too."

"They're right." Time's voice was heard as he appeared with Wind, Legend and Sky behind him. "We can't risk more of us getting sick."

The three heroes closer to you sighed and moved a bit to keep some distance. The oldest hero reached to give your head a soft pat.

"We'll rest for a few days until you get better, darling." His expression was caring, making your heart warm.

As soon as Time went away to check on Twilight and Wild, Sky got closer to give you a kiss on your warm cheek. "If you feel cold, tell me, alright?" His hand held one of yours, thumb caressing your hand for a few seconds.

"Give them some space." Legend was frowning, but it was obvious that it was because he was worried. An illness while you were traveling was dangerous, and could be really bad.

With a small pout, Sky gave you one last peck before moving away. You were feeling sleepy, eyelids growing heavier by the second, but a plate of soup was placed in front of you.

"Do you think you can eat at least little bit?" Wild asked you, and there was no way you could say no to him, especially with all of your lovers and Wind looking at you like you were made of glass.

With a sigh, you took the plate, nodding and trying to eat what your lover had prepared. Wild's usually amazing food tasted bland, you couldn't really smell it either, but the warmth made you feel a bit better.

"Sleep." Hyrule said, taking the plate from your hands and passing it to Twilight. "You need to rest if you want to get better soon."

You didn't hesitate to go back to sleep, feeling a lot better now that you had your heroes with you, taking care of you.

note; sorry for taking so long with this! I always forgot. part two here! gn! reader, romantic expect wind, hurt/comfort.

You were feeling down, and that was obvious to Warriors. He could see it in the way you moved, no matter how hard you tried to smile and act like nothing happened.

He didn't want to wait until whatever was upsetting you disappeared, he couldn't leave you like that, so he grabbed your hand and walked away from the group, making sure at least one of the others saw you. The blond knew there would probably be some teasing comments later, but it was better than dealing with the panic or arguments for going away without saying anything.

And once you were completely alone, he opened his arms in a silent invitation, which you didn't hesitate to take. His strong arms wrapped around your body, not too tightly as to avoid making you feel trapped, just enough to let you know that he was there.

"You can cry." Your lover whispered, and you shook your head, he hummed. "Do you want me to stay quiet or...?" Another shook, and Warriors made sure to fill the silence.

He talked about his day, made over-dramatic comments to make you smile and let you rest your head against his chest.

He would stay like that until you felt better, he didn't care about anything else at that moment.

Wild wasn't the best at comforting, or so he would tell himself. He felt awkward and didn't know what to say, especially if it was related to something he still didn't remember from before the Calamity.

But, you weren't someone from that time, you were his partner, and all the memories he had of you were more recent, more vivid and memories the him from now made.

So, he tried his best to comfort you as soon as he noticed you were upset. The cook changed the menu he had in mind for that night, making sure he had everything to prepare your favorite dishes.

"Don't force yourself to eat." Your lover softly said as he gave you your food. "If you want some dessert afterwards, tell me, I'll make your favorite too."

"Are you sure it's not a bother?" His actions made your heart feel warm, but you also felt a bit guilty. Wild shook his head with a gentle smile, getting closer to leave a kiss on your forehead.

"It's not, really, I love cooking for you." He shot you one more smile and you started to eat, smiling back as you enjoyed the food.

Wild wasn't the best at comforting, but he tried to help you feel better with small things.

Wind was a big brother, he had some experience when it came to comforting someone as he had to comfort his little sister before. So, he didn't hesitate to go towards you as soon as he saw the frown in your face.

Contrary to how he usually was, the blond quietly offered his hand, not knowing if you were okay with being touched. You were a bit confused at first, but didn't take long to reach and hold his hand.

He used his thumb to draw circles on your skin. "Do you want to talk about it?" The sailor knew that some people preferred to deal with their problems silently, unlike his sister who would talk pretty easily.

You sighed so, so tired. "Not really."

"That's okay." He continued caressing your hand, gently and without squeezing tightly. "I want you to know how special you are, though. All of us will be happy to listen to you whenever you want to talk, no matter what."

You hummed. Wind may be the youngest hero, but he wasn't a child, he was someone who had to fight against the evil just like the others, and he knew when he needed to be quiet and offer comfort like this.

Sky knew you well, and always tried his best to remember your likes, dislikes and your expressions. He loved hearing you talk about your interests, seeing your face brighten depending on the topic.

And he hated how sad you looked right now.

You had a bad day, he could see it clearly on your face along with the tension in your whole body. You were talking less, and tried to avoid eye contact even with him, the hero felt like you were close to crying.

That was the last thing he needed before he offered you his hand with a soft smile. "Come with me?" His voice was a gentle whisper, and you grabbed his hand to let him help you stand.

The chosen hero gave a subtle nod to Wild, who had been worried about you since you didn't eat much earlier. The cook nodded back, he would tell Time that you were dealing with something personal and to not bother you unless it was necessary.

You didn't walk too far from the camp, it wasn't completely safe after all, before Sky made you sit down. It was a nice place, with many flowers around the two of you.

"I know something is bothering you." He started, slowly. "You don't have to talk about it, I just want to remind you that I'm here to help you whenever you need it, my love." The hero held both of your hands, caressing them with his thumbs.

A few tears fell from your eyes, and you let him wrap his arms around you, hiding your face in his chest. One of his hands rubbed your back, softly and lovingly.

"Let it all out, we can stay here for as long as you need."

He was going to do his best to see you smile again soon.

"It's alright to be overwhelmed." The older hero's voice snapped you out of your thoughts.

Time had seen how stressed you were during the day, between having a headache because of not sleeping well, having horrible luck during a fight and being extremely clumsy... Plus, you felt bad for taking potions when you could've avoided being hurt if you had slept enough.

"I was nothing but a burden today, Link." You sighed, one hand rubbing your eyes. You didn't want to cry, you had to keep watch with the blond.

Your lover slowly shook his head. "You're never a burden, you just had a bad day." He took one of your hands, keeping his hold gentle and easy for you to take your hand away. "None of us think of you as a burden." His voice was firm, he wouldn't let you think of yourself like that.

You knew that you wouldn't be able to make him otherwise, he was stubborn. "...Hold me, please?" Your voice was a whisper, but it was quiet enough for Time to hear it.

"Of course, dear." The blond wrapped his arms around you, letting you rest your head on his shoulder. Thankfully, he had taken off his armor this time, so it wasn't uncomfortable.

You spent the rest of your watch like that, his warmth and the soft kisses he often left on your head helped you feel better. That night, you slept in his arms, and woke up without any kind of pain.

"I'm here." The dirty-blond whispered in your ear. His arms were firmly wrapped around you as he tried to comfort you while you let the tears spill from your eyes.

He had almost died because of a mistake you made. You didn't notice how slippery a part of the ground was, and tripped, he protected you and got hurt because of it. The thought of losing him scared you, and all of the others, so much that you couldn't focus well enough afterwards. You had ended up with some injuries, but none as bad as his were, and the day was absolutely horrible as you waited for him to wake up.

You couldn't rest until you saw him healed and awake, until you were sure that he wouldn't disappear from your arms. And as soon as he was better, you hugged him, trying to be careful as his body still hurt.

"I'm fine. I'll be more careful, I promise." His body was a bit sore, but it was better than the pain from before. He managed to move one of his hands to caress your head without much trouble.

You wanted to talk, to say something, but you couldn't, you didn't want to cry even if some tears escaped. Your body relaxed little by little, tension leaving your bones after seeing that he wasn't in danger anymore.

"It wasn't your fault, none of us knew that it would be so slippery in that side." Twilight didn't want you to blame yourself, as it could've happened to any of the heroes, even the more experienced ones.

He spent the rest of the day comforting you as you made sure he was completely fine.

You were having a bad day, and the worst luck.

The day had started with rain, which had affected the whole group, but then you tripped and fell into a mud puddle. It didn't stop until a few hours later, but then you had been ambushed. it

Your clothes felt itchy and uncomfortable.

Then, you got a nasty cut from a page of the book you were checking. You weren't going to waste a potion on that, even if it hurt a lot more than it should. And to top it off, you had dropped your book because of the sudden pain and it had also fallen into a puddle.

The day was horrible, your eyes were burning, so you walked a decent distance away from the camp to try and calm yourself down, not before telling one of the others of course.

It didn't take long for someone to follow you. Four was worried, so he sat next to you and offered a hand, deciding not to grab yours directly in case you were overwhelmed.

You took his hand, and felt some of the tension leave your body as his thumb caressed your skin.

"Bad luck today?" He softly asked, free hand moving to wipe the hot tears that had escaped your eyes. You just nodded, and his touch disappeared from your face so he could grab a small bag from his belt. Opening it slightly, you could see some colorful stones, each broken in two.

"These are kinstones, if a kinstone is fused with its matching half, it grants good fortune." The blond let go of your hand to pull out one of the small stones, giving it to you before taking another himself. "These should help you, at least a little bit."

His cute smile was contagious, and you smiled back as you two matched both pieces of the kinstone, the small stone disappearing soon after. It made you feel better already.

You considered yourself lucky enough already, though, as you felt Four's hand holding yours again.

Hyrule was worried about you.

You were upset, he was sure of it, even if you tried to hide it. He knew you, and knew the hints that showed how you truly felt. That was why he decided to do something to make you feel better.

"Come with me for a bit?" The brunet asked you, quickly taking your hand in his when you nodded. He gave a short wave at Time so he knew that you two would be going somewhere else, the traveler didn't want to be deal with an upset old man later.

"Where are we going?" Your voice was still a bit softer than usual, he noticed, and the bags under your eyes were darker.

"I...know you've been feeling down these days." Hyrule gently squeezed your hand. "So I thought that a distraction would be nice. We could explore, and maybe watch the sunset later?"

His cheeks turned a soft red, was it okay? Comforting could be harder than he thought sometimes, so he wasn't sure if you preferred to do something else.

His doubts disappeared when you returned the squeeze, a small smile on your lips. "I'd like that. A distraction would be really nice right now."

"Great! Let's go, Wild said there were some ruins around here!"

Hyrule was definitely the best at making you forget about your worries, with his smiles and enthusiasm when it came to exploring. At the end of the day, you forgot everything that had made you upset.

The veteran knew many things. He had a lot of knowledge when it came to dungeons, secrets, magical items... but he couldn't say the same when it came to comforting someone.

He had found you at night, not too far from the camp. He had woken up when he heard someone walking, always the light sleeper, and chose to follow when he noticed that it was you. The thought of his lover walking around an unsafe place at night put him on edge.

Then, seeing your tear-stained face as you sat under a tree made his heart ache, and he didn't think twice before he crouched next to you. You looked at him and, not sure of what to do, the blond wrapped his arms around you, letting you sob on his chest.

His body was tense, not used to this kind of thing even if he was dating you, but he did his best to comfort you. His hand caressed your head as he let you cry.

Legend waited a few minutes until your body stopped shaking before he opened his mouth. "...Do you want to talk about it?" There was no sarcasm, no teasing, his voice was soft and understanding.

"I, not really." You whispered, head buried in your lover's chest. You felt his lips leave a light peck on your head.

"That's okay, you don't have to say anything." Your body relaxed at his words, he wasn't going to insist, he would wait until you were ready to talk about it, if you ever were. He knew very well that insisting wasn't always the best thing to do.

"...Can we stay like this for a few more minutes?"

Legend didn't care about how long you spent there, he would stay in that place hugging you for as long as you needed.

The captain didn't really trust you at first, but not exactly because of your appearance. He had been taught not to judge too quickly, but to also avoid trusting someone easily. It didn't take long for him to start caring about you, though.

"You sure it will be completely clean?" The blond asked, watching you nod as you tried your best to make his beloved scarf look as good as new.

Warriors had been the target of another of Wind's pranks, and then slipped into a mud puddle, turning his scarf and a big part of his clothes brown.

With the others being too busy or somewhere else to help him, you decided to offer your help. You weren't in bad terms, but you still hadn't spent a lot of time together.

The blond captain definitely didn't see you as a threat anymore, seeing how you always ran around trying to help the group of heroes, so he didn't hesistate to accept your help. And now, watching the dirt disappear from his scarf, he knew he did the correct thing.

From then on, Warriors would start spending more time with you.

Wild usually prefered to cook alone, that way he didn't have to make sure someone else didn't end up adding too much goron spice, or messing up the meal. He could be a bit strict when it came to cooking.

But you were an exception.

While you didn't exactly cook, he couldn't say no to you when you asked him if you could help him. While you could seem intimidating to others, the blond didn't really care about your appearance, the look on your face could rival Wolfie's sometimes.

So you ended up being the one who would pass him the ingredients, or cutting them if he was too busy or hurt. It didn't seem like anything special, but it helped you two bond faster.

"Can you pass me-" You had already handed him the Tabantha wheat. "Thanks!" He chuckled. It seemed like you had already remembered a few things about the recipe he was following. It was nice to have someone helping him like this.

"Ouch." The youngest hero closed one of his eyes as you took out another splinter from his hand.

The sailor had thought it would be a good idea to climb a tree as fast as possible, to beat Wild's record or so he said, and ended up with many splinters buried in his hands.

You had to take them of before you could give him a potion. Some of the other heroes would be faster than you at this, especially Hyrule, but Wind had asked you for help because he knew the others wouldn't be amused.

You shook your head, sighing as you took out the last splinter from his skin and gave him the bitter red liquid. He drank it, not without making a weird face, and then one of his arms was around your shoulders.

"Thanks, you're really nice!" Wind really liked you, he thought you were pretty kind even if you looked a bit scary at first.

No one liked making the chosen hero angry. He was usually so nice and warm, but so scary when angered. You had seen it pretty clearly while you both were in a town to buy supplies, someone had made a... rather unwanted comment about you.

"Seriously, I don't get it. You didn't do anything but exist." The hero huffed beside you, as you walked back to the camp. "You may be a bit intimidating, but you're as much of a softy as the veteran."

You shook your head, making the brunet look at you. You smiled at him, grateful for his help a few moments ago. "I'm used to it, don't worry, I learned to ignore things like that."

The fact that you had to get used to such things made the hero's heart hurt. Sky grabbed one of your hands, intertwining your fingers with his.

"I think you're gorgeous." His words made your cheeks warm up. "I have a friend who was pretty similar, many people feared him if they saw him, but there was a little girl who became his friend. He's really nice, just like you."

You smiled, gently squeezing his hand. "I'd love to meet him one day." You whispered, and he would make sure you'd be comfortable with his friends back home.

It was obvious how everyone in the group wanted to make the oldest hero feel proud of them, or at least avoid disappointing him most of the time. Maybe it was because he was the leader? Or because he was like a father for some of them?

No matter the reason, you were included in the group in that way too. That was what had brought you to this moment, although you were regretting it now. Your idea was so silly.

"It's for good luck." You managed to say, but couldn't look at the hero in front of you as he examined the small charm you had made for him. It wasn't much, but you thought that it would be a nice detail.

"I can't say I don't need some good luck." He chuckled, his unoccupied hand moving to ruffle your hair. You were so cute even if you looked so intimidating at first. Time was growing a soft spot for you.

You looked at the blond, a smile painting itself on your lips. "You like it?" Your expression brightened as he nodded. You felt much better now that you knew he didn't consider it as something silly or childish.

"I'll keep it with me at all times. Thank you." And he wouldn't let go of that little charm, ever.

Twilight knew how much of a sweetheart you truly were. No matter how scary or different you looked, you were kind to all of them and always tried to help them when possible.

He had been injured in the last fight, and you were the one taking care of him as the others were too tired or, in Hyrule's case, didn't have any magic left to heal the leftover wounds.

Potions didn't taste good, but there weren't any fairies left to help him. Twilight looked up at you when you patted his shoulder, your touch was gentle. You showed him what you had in your hand: a candy you had bought in the town you had visited some time ago.

The hero wanted to decline, you liked these after all, but he knew you were really stubborn when it came to helping them, so he took the candy. It was sweet, and it made the bitter taste of the potion disappear.

"Thanks." Just a simple word, but he felt a bit flustered as he remembered doing the same to the children back home when they didn't like something.

You chuckled. "You're welcome." You may end up buying more candy than usual next time, mainly for those of the group who liked sweets. It would make it easier for them to heal themselves with potions.
