celestino vietti keeps his season long string of not crashing alive in an unbelievable performance of being dogshit but still somehow getting a top 10 finish. unironically this is the best form he’s ever been in.

more LG vs LB comparisons for the same scene bc!! look at the difference 2 years (now officially 2 years since I started!) has made
Rambling about 9-1-1's episode 8x13, Invisible! Contains spoilers, run now if you don't want spoilers.
First of all, Buck and Eddie are so cute, omg that constant video-calling 😁💕, I love it. And I love that Buck gave Eddie the kick he needed, told him to stop melting into the furniture, dad up 👌Btw there's something so darling about the way Eddie goes to Buck for advice, listens to Buck, sees his growth. "You didn't turn up like you." 🩷 Preach!
Also Eddie and Chris, they were so wholesome 🩷! And yay, good job Eddie, speaking up, self-assurance looks good on you 🙂↕️👌
Buck and Eddie really have this tendency to prompt growth in each other. Tommy was so right to go "easy, tiger!" when Buck was waxing poetic about his relationship with Tommy having been the most transformative relationship of his life, up there with Abby. Like for real Buck, you were such a sweet grape before you entered the team and met Bobby, Eddie, Chris... Hen and Karen, etc. etc. The difference between season 1 Buck and season 8 Buck, it's wild.
Btw I adore that Eddie dadded up (?) without cutting contact with his parents. I am so tired of that whole "oh nooo strong-willed, stubborn, pushy, socially awkward family members/people, these people are dangerous and toxic, just bin them!"-rhetoric. Like nope, people like that can be loving and lovable. I should know, my entire family is like that, me included. Stubborn, strong personalities, that's our thing. Run away, run away! 😱
Anyway, I love that we got to see Eddie stand up to his parents, set boundaries. Like an adult! Because hey, he basically skipped that step, moving to Los Angeles. He never really learned how to form an adult-adult-bond with his strong-willed parents, did he? Nope, he just basically ran away, cut contact.
And that's kinda sad because Helena and Ramon aren't evil, they're just flawed, human. And they're Eddie's and Chris's family. They have the potential to be amazing parents and grandparents but how to get there, it's something they'll have to learn. Some people need feedback to grow!!
And seriously. It's also okay to simply IGNORE some of the stupidity you witness, in one ear and out the other!! If your thing is to try to fix every single flaw you see in the people around you, you're the toxic one. Don't be Bob the Builder. Chill.
By the way I'm genuinely a bit bummed to learn that Chris doesn't like chess. Kinda breaks my heart a bit because it's been really cool to see Ramon let go of that distant macho man character, and try to bond with his family. I hope Ramon and Chris will discover some other activity that they both really enjoy, that they can get hyped about together. 🩷
Btw Hen's birthday drama! I loved it! I've always hated this mentality that only children are worth attention and love - as if only children have emotions and are allowed emotions. Really felt for Hen and her need to go sulk alone with her balloons. And chocolate!! (Very relatable to me really, to see an adult have an embarrassing meltdown. Dignity, is it edible?)
Oh and Archie 😂 Archie 😅 Yeah, being seen is kinda tricky, isn't it. Well, at least from now on you'll always be on the radar of the police force? So. Congrats on the win, I suppose? 🤔
Okay I've rambled enough, real life calls. Super excited for the next episode btw, looks really cool!
RATS!!! 🩷🩷🩷
no because the way taylor went from losing in early rounds four slams in a row to making the quarterfinals at four of the last five slams he’s played…

Thinking of "writing sins" though, it's interesting to look back and seem them shifting—one I used to have is using the word "certainly" five million times in a first draft regardless of character voice (why? why that word of all words??)
But I just did a search in my 15k of draft for my current project, and there's only one singular "certainly" in there
the way olivia starts guts (spilled) with all-american bitch — a song about how frustrating and contradictory it is to be a girl — and ends with a song about how she might be in love with a guy who finds her all-american qualities cute means so much to me
