Been a brutal two months and won’t let up until my birthday in November. There are some *huge* changes on the horizon and they’re being fueled solely because of grad school and my work on Layne Staley. Most hours in the day, I question my sanity with all of this. I am dedicating my entire life to Layne and I worry it’s ridiculous or people won’t ever understand. That they won’t see how important it is that I do this for him and his fans. All I want is to preserve the fantastic art and music legacy he left. But, it’s hard as hell, for so many reasons. Today, at my very lowest, I received this text from a man I VERY much respect and admire.
