Walked down to catch the Grunion run. It is a wonderful SoCal/BC event that happens a few times a year. I'm pretty sure the Grunion are the only fish that exit the water to lay eggs. I could be wrong. It's a very predictable event that follows the moon and tide cycles. Last night was night 2. Saw about 50 just south of the pier around the 11:30 mark. I'll try to take a pic of one tonight. I was the only one out. It bummed me out. There's so much magic out there!
