Just another day at the lake with some coworkers who I'm pretty sure only use DuckDuckGO.

Thoughts at 11pm...
They're still working on the roof for the next week or two, so today we set up at the park where I started a new book, W logged in and got her NASA stuff done, and we met some great little feathered friends. Two yappers that came up and W fed them some premium bird seed, (no bread or bad stuff), and then later our favorite little dude, the muscovy duck we've named chicken came to spend time with us and get a snack. @amanda-loriann he's a cute little dude ain't he?
Once work was over, W and Flappers the Penguin took a bit of a nap until Chicken came over.
We didn't go all out with the canopy, tables, or anything. Just the two chairs, a small table, and the beach tent. Figured easy peasy and quick. It was really windy the last few days so we brought the weights but apparently didn't need them at all.
We all love chicken!

Week in review
Monday - Rosies Dog Park and the Lagoon Tuesday - The Aquarium and time with our favorite sea turtles Wednesday - Doctors appointment and then the Lake and Dog Park Thursday - Stayed home actually! Friday - The beach and the turtle pond Saturday - Would you believe we stayed home a second day???? Sunday - The water front and marina!
The nice thing about working from home and east coast hours, we have all afternoon to go out and have fun!
We're set up at by the water and w made a new dog friend! The new chairs are great!
We also get a water show all day! Boats racing, water skiing, and all sorts of fun!

Was a nice afternoon at the beach and pier. A little windy, but not bad.
W hung out at the turtle pond too and one came out of the water to say hi and get back scratches. She then met up with two of her favorite pups and spent time with them. All in all a good day after work!
Thoughts at 10am...
Our week so far:
Monday - We went to the park by the lagoon and W got to meet a few new pups and a couple who moved here from S Carolina
Tuesday - We went to the aquarium and w spent time with her favorite sea turtles and we saw the new jellyfish exhibit
Wednesday - I had to do some lab work and then we went to the park with the lakes and dog park. W was COVERED in dog slobber and fur, and I was super comfy in my chair watching the ducks, geese, and everything.
Today is Thursday and I'm thinking we'll probably go to the beach. Friday, we might go to the Marina.
Working from home + east coast hours means we're done by 2pm. No commute, no extra time spent waking up, having breakfast, showering, getting dressed, and getting out of the door on time. All of that stuff is sprinkled throughout the day instead of one lump block of time. No commute means all of that time and energy is saved for going out later. It really makes a difference.
I think that's why we go out so much, we have the time and the energy, and with it staying dark later, we just pack some snacks in the car and come home around 7 or 8 and have a late dinner!
For W, this is all normal... except for a brief bit after graduation, she's never really worked a 9-5 with commuting. It's almost all been remote work and a good chunk of it we've been able to go out every day lol.
We usually stay home on the weekends though. Places get really crowded, people are annoying, and I like to watch football and my racing. It gives us a couple of days to sleep in and do chores and stuff.
It's really backwards from most peoples schedules lol.

Today was multiple days in one! Started with W going to work at 645am, and I had to go to the med labs to give more blood for more tests. In that time, W took two naps, and then around 330 we got dressed and went to the park!
W found some wonderful dogs to keep her company while she read, and I got to try my new padded zero gravity chair by the lake! God damn that thing is comfy! It folds up easy peasy too, and fits perfectly in the back of the car. I was going to read, but I was so comfortable I just couldn't! My eyes kept closing and I just laid there and watched the ducks and geese and wildlife. We are just getting home now, so we were there a good 3 hrs or so. A nice way to end the day.
Thoughts at midnight...
It was a little hazy and a little windy today, but the view was nice and I got to read for a bit by the water. W met 2 cats in a stroller at the beach too!
