Your character is in the audience for the first task. They sit in the stand surrounding a house engulfed in flames and watch as the champions and fellow students rush in to save their loved ones. How does your character feel about the situation? Do they believe their friends/classmates are real in danger? Do they care?
People were wearing supporters gear for their favourite champion, others were even debating with their peers over who would be victorious. But Rose couldn't shake the mix of emotions running through her. Despite her efforts she just couldn't be excited about this.
A group of teenagers were about to run into a burning house with Merlin knows what inside all to win some cup. It was almost morbid how excited everyone was for the event. Students were known to die in this tournament. Rose knew all too well how dangerous it was. Her uncle had experienced it first hand.
The uncomfortable feeling of dread had crept up on her slowly over the past few days. Rose had still been upset over not being picked champion just a week ago. But now, sitting here and glancing over at the nervous faces of the champions' friends and family in the crowd, she was relieved. The nervousness she was feeling for Bonnie alone, hell, even Damon Salvatore... it quickly made her realise just how unprepared she would have been to take up the role of champion. Her family had fought to ensure she wouldn't be exposed to such danger, putting her name in the goblet had been an outright insult to them. Rose made a mental note to send an apology letter to her parents later that night.
Rose attempted to compose herself, plastering on a confident smile as she noticed a few of the younger Gryffindors peering over at her in worry. She was their Head Girl, if they saw Rose looking like she might throw up over the situation, who knows how they'd end up reacting.
She let out a nervous breath of air, brushing her hair out of her face and bringing her eyes back to the burning house. Her stomach twisted uncomfortably as the task began, the champions taking off into the fiery house. Drowning out the cheers around them, Rose blindly reached to her right, eventually locating Dean's hand and grasping it firmly, finding some form of comfort in the contact. Merlin, please let everything go smoothly.
She bite down on her lower lip, shaking her head. "You really don't take no for an answer do you." She laughed softly and people said that she was stubborn...he certainly was giving her a run for her money. "Fine....rules are rules after all..," she strode forward, grabbing the front of his robes silencing anything he planned to say as her lips crashed against his. Moving herself forward, making him go as well, his back pressing firmly against the wall behind them. Just before pulling away finally, her teeth grazed against his bottom lip.
Dean Winchester has been Rose's on-and-off boyfriend since their first year arriving at Hogwarts. He was her first crush and her first kiss, and the one ex that she's never been able to shake.
When they were dating, they were considered the 'It Couple' amongst the Gryffindors of their year, and their breakup in their third year proved to be the biggest topic within the rumour mill. Despite their breakup, the pair managed to salvage their friendship, and remained closer than most people would expect exes to be. Dean is one of Rose's closest friends, and the only person she's ever trusted as much as she trusts her own family.
In between other relationships, Rose and Dean have been known to revisit their feelings for one another. It was, in fact, Dean who ended up taking Rose's virginity in her fifth year, and she doesn't regret the decision at all.
Many of Rose's relationships have ended due to her close relationship with Dean, and the constant rumours surrounding them. However she has never allowed a boyfriend or gossip to damage her and Dean's relationship.
Rose always has, and always will have a soft spot for Dean. Her family love him, and Rose is fairly sure her grandmother Molly Weasley has been planning their wedding since Dean's first Weasley-Potter family gathering. At the back of her mind, Rose is aware that she has lingering feelings for the boy. But they're young, and it's high school. Whatever is meant to happen will happen. So long as she still has Dean around she's happy.
