I don't know what you are interested in, but I would recommend Colleen Coble's books, my favorite being Abomination. I really like Growing Wings by Laurel Winter. It was one of my favorite books as a kid/preteen, and I just think it's a cool story. Also, I'm currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and really enjoying it.
