y'all girl scout camp is one of the best places on earth and every time i try to explain the magic of it i fall short of words. it truly is like a second home to me

At the end of every week they have a campfire night which is when you get to make a wishboat: attach a birthday candle to a piece of bark, whisper your wish, light the flame, and put it in the lake. The “legend” goes that once your candle goes out, the camp fairies, that watch over the campers all week, have taken your wish. 

However, I shouldn’t be the one to bash the validity of the camp fairies lol. Beause every year since ive started going, my wish to come back the next year, has come true.
