The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) is getting nearer to Gaza despite reports of Israeli warships harrassing and circling the flotilla. Per a BBC article from today (Oct. 1, 2025):

"As of 14:43 GMT (15:43 BST) on Wednesday afternoon, the GSF said its boats were less than 90 nautical miles from Gaza."

Spain and Italy both deployed naval vessels to sail alongside the GSF after a drone attack last week, but the BBC article explains that those vessels have withdrawn now that the GSF is closer to Gaza's shore.

Despite attempts from Israeli officials to tell the flotilla to change course, the GSF has stated it will not heed them: "The humanitarian demand to break the blockade cannot be walked back to port."

once again israel has intercepted the flotilla on illegal waters. i'm not gonna say the usual because maybe people don't understand big words or have just gotten used to them so much that it doesn't ring alarm bells. they have no right over anything on those seas. it is illegal. blocking civilian boats, smashing equipment, jamming radars... it is all illegal. and no country is doing anything about it.

Good morning everyone, I'd like to ask some fellow artists for advice: I'm an artist who graduated from the art department of a fine arts high school, and I'm studying art history at university. I still love drawing and I draw in my free time, but I've never had a style that I could call my own. I think this is because of my fine arts education; unfortunately, those schools force everyone into a mold (at least in my country), and thus, originality doesn't develop in most students. You understand the logic of drawing, you can draw what you see flawlessly, your line skills improve, you learn everything about colors and art. But originality and style... Only students who draw on their own outside of school can achieve that. Unfortunately, I was a nerdy student in school, so I couldn't draw on my own initiative except for adding extra drawings on top of school drawings. How can I develop a style? How did you find your own style?
