The super Mustang starts out around $73k before options. Firstly you can select between 11 paint options (Performance blue shown here) and 3 different door stripes. You can also get a $695 black room and Vinyl stripes for $1,000. But if you want the fancy painted stripes…that will be $10k.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏁 @Allcarnews Spec sheet: Under the hood sits a hand built 5.2L V8 from the GT350 but uses a cross plane crank instead as well as a 2.65L Supercharger! Then comes the $3k Tech pack that gets you a 12 speaker B&O audio system, Navigation, and safety systems. GT500 is NOT making 850HP 🇺🇸 ______________________________________   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [8/8/19] Ford has released a crazy metric for the new GT500! The super American sports car seemed to be a bit overshadowed by the Supra and C8 Corvette news but now Ford has shocked everyone with the 0-100-0MPH figure of just 10.6sec… This means that the GT500 can get to 100MPH in around 6.7sec making it faster than a McLaren F1 in this test which does it in 11.5sec and less than a second off of a Bugatti veyron!   ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏁 @Allcarnews Spec sheet: Under the hood sits a hand built 5.2L V8 from the GT350 but uses a cross plane crank instead as well as a 2.65L Supercharger! That engine in reality is making over 800HP but the supercharger requires around 90HP to be run so you know…850-90=760HP! The GT500 isn’t slow or in need of more power but that doesn’t stop the folks in Texas. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏁 @Allcarnews Spec sheet: Under the hood sits a hand built 5.2L V8 from the GT350 but uses a cross plane crank instead as well as a 2.65L Supercharger! Now Hennessey can take that up to 850HP and 725 lb-ft of torque with some fiddling... then you can get 1,000HP and 850 lb-ft of torque in a higher kit or you can go nuts with the 1,200HP and 1,000 lb-ft of torque version running on E85 or racing fuel! 🏁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So how did they get all of this power out of the 5.2L?? Well it gained two turbos and a new fuel system, new cold air intake, custom stainless steel exhaust and loads of strengthened engine bits! Hennessey also modified the DCT gearbox to handle the extra power! GT500 OFFICIAL POWER 😍 ______________________________________ [6/19/19] We finally have the official production numbers and specs from the GT500! Also I got a chance to get all the pics above at the NYIAS in april, capturing the raw beauty of this BEAST with it’s leather and alcantara seats, the MASSIVE carbon wing, the pizza pie sized brake discs and the glossy carbon wheels were just stunning in person! ☀️ [@allcarnews Spec Sheet] Under the hood sits a 5.2L V8 based on the GT350’s engine but uses a cross plane crank instead as well as a 2.65L Supercharger! Power is a monster 760HP and 625 lb-ft of torque sent through a 7 Speed DCT to the rear. The GT500 can reportedly run sub 11sec 1/4mile times and there still are not 0-60 times. ☀️ Now this GT500 that i got to see is the track pick and has SERIOUS aerodynamics with Ford spending loads of money developing it! The car also benefits from a flat underbelly, the impressive 31inx28in vent to extract engine heat and also creates significant front downforce and reduces lift! Based on the bones of the GT350R, the GT500 is no joke getting a new suspension, new springs, new MagneRide and a new power steering. MASSIVE 16.5in 6 piston brakes sit upfront and 2 new handling packages are available. The Handling pack gets you adjustable strut mounts and a gurney flap spoiler. The insane Carbon Track Pack gets 20in Carbon wheels and Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber, a GT4 style wing, dive planes and a rear seat delete! 🔥Under the hood sits a 5.2L V8 from the GT350 but uses a cross plane crank instead as well as a 2.65L Supercharger! Expect power to be over 700HP! Now there is no manual, but that’s ok as a 7 speed DCT is fitted with 100 millisecond shifts and capable of hitting 60 in 3.5secand the 1/4 mile under 11 sec.🔥 Along with a lightweight aluminum engine block, forged rods, better cooling and lubrication, there is also a new carbon drive shaft paired to the DCT. This is all stemming from a ford spokesman saying that the new 7.3L V8 in the F series trucks fits in the mustang! But it’s not suited for it as it’s a heavy iron block workhorse! 🔥The current most powerful mustang is the GT500 with a monster 5.2L V8 from the GT350 but uses a cross plane crank instead as well as a 2.65L Supercharger! Expect power to be over 700HP!
