pacing back and forth, will ran his fingers through his hair. today, he was shooting for guardians of the galaxy volume 3, and it was gonna be longer than usual. for some reason, this was really stressing him out, and you noticed it too. from the facetime calls you two had, he seemed to be incredibly nervous, so much so you felt the need to fly over to set, with the help of convincing james gunn to secretly fly you out to be there for will.
you managed to make it the night before the shooting, in a nice hotel near set, and so in the morning, you stepped foot outside with your messenger bag, waiting for your uber to come pick you up. once it did, you got inside and headed off to surprise will on set.
your phone started ringing and it was him calling. answering it, you immediately smiled. “hey dear.” you hummed.
“hi, my darling y/n. today i’m officially shooting for this really long day. wish me luck.” he chuckled, and you laughed back. “god, good luck. don’t know how that feels, but i know how memorizing lines is! theatre and all,” you mumbled the last part.
“yeah. well, i’m off. fuck me, i’m kinda nervous. i wasn’t this nervous with the maze runner..” he sighed, and you frowned a bit.
“well, will, i know you’ll be okay. doing over the lines multiple times always helps. work on facial expressions.” you suggested as this gave you enough time to stall, and get out the car, making your way to his set.
“that’s helpful dear. thank you, i really don’t know what i’d do without you. you are truly the best girlfriend ever.” he sighed, and you grinned widely as you entered the set.
“i love you.” he added at the end, and you definitely heard that from inside set.
“i love you too, will.” you responded away from the phone, which made him turn his head with the quickness, almost causing whiplash. you could hear the other members laughing
when he saw you, he immediately came running over to hug you, despite being in costume and possibly stinking up the costume by running so much.
hugging him back, you sighed. “i’m here to help you. get you out of the hole, if you will.” you referenced, getting a loud laugh in response.
“what would i do without you, y/n.” he asked rhetorically.

before, during, and after every scene you checked up on will. went over his script with him, gave him support and love, and some advice.
“almost over, will. after this we will order 24 hour pizza delivery and eat it to our hearts desires if that’s what you want.” you offered, and he closed his eyes and nodded.
about an hour passed and will was done with the hard part. with a content smile on his face and a loud sigh, he gave you another hug.
“thank you, y/n. this was the best thing you could’ve done for me. i will never thank you enough for this. you really are the best girlfriend ever.”
“i love you, too, will.”
