marvel: this is black widow, a mysterious person with a complicated and interesting backstory, who faces both internal and external conflict, and shows consistent character growth in all the films she appears in

marvel: ok, how about Gamora, a competent, headstrong survivor of a devastating genocide, who grew up with an abusive adoptive father, has a complex and strained relationship with her sister Nebula, and consistently confronts Peter on his misogyny and toxicity and stands up for herself, refusing to solve his problems or give in to his demands for her emotional labor

marvel: ok what about Shuri? Or Okoye? two incredibly competent and likeable WoC who are highly respected by everyone around them, being skilled in technology and combat, two fields which are generally regarded as "man's work"

marvel: how bout this - a bland, generic superhero who has no personality or internal conflict whatsoever but she punches real good and sometimes says feminist stuff even when it makes no sense either for her character or the context of the situation she's in
