The plan was simple; it was time to put all the tricks that she had into play. Elena Gilbert was her sister and the sister was who she was going to be. If she wanted to get close, learn the ropes of the Gilbert’s, and get in, she was definitely going to have to start somewhere. So now, it was time for her to work her magic. Eighteen years had definitely been enough time to come up with a plan, even if a few of those years were spent in diapers. And with a deep breath, a set of pouty lips, she pressed the doorbell.

Caroline was pouring shots when she heard her friends arrive. “In the kitchen,” she called to them. “I figured we would start the evening off with alcohol. I think we could all use a drink,” she laughed. Looking up at them, she smiled at each of them. She had missed these nights with Elena and Bonnie. Now, they had adopted Davina into their group as well. “Elena and I knew a sleepover in hell was a must. Tonight is for girl talk, gossip, and of course, the Spice Girls.”

With her brother’s fondness for a certain doppelgänger face, it took Rebekah half a second longer to figure who it was he was talking to, but she’d know that self-righteous martyr anywhere. It pleased Rebekah greatly to see her working the event instead of attending, no doubt what she wanted from Elijah. He had always been a bit soft on her, finding her innocence and compassion admirable. It’d be easy for her to get him to help her climb up a few ranks.
“Look who it is,” she hissed as she snuck up behind her, “charming, sweet Elena trying to manipulate my brother’s generous heart yet again. Think he can help you be something around here? I hate to be the one to tell you because it seems everyone else has neglected to break the news to you...karma’s a bitch.”
Elena made it crystal clear after giving the no humanity thing a go that they were not friends, and Rebekah was all too happy to return the favor.
