You ever feel guilty for being happy?
Recently I had one of the saddest personal moments in a long time. I fucked up, totally an accident, but it cost me a lot. And this is just a few days ago. But today I woke up, happy where I'm at, I'm helping a friend, and I smiled. But I instantly felt guilty. Do I deserve happiness after fucking up that bad a mere 48 hours ago? How long do you have to mourn or feel guilty before you can find happiness again? What is the timetable on a fuck up?
Psych Teacher: how many of you have cheated on a test before?
[Entire class raises their hands]
Teacher: you do understand that's cheating?
Student: it's using your resources
[Applause from class]
Teacher: [pained] bullshit
Entering the wide room, Chloe froze when she saw the person up ahead. It had been months, months since she’d last seen him and even now she was unsure about moving forward. She had no idea if he knew who it was that was coming to see him. Was she the first?
A sound from the throat of the guard standing by the door pushed Chloe forward, head held high as she made her way down the aisle to stand before him at the table. Joe Miller. The man who had killed her brother. Pulling out the chair, she sat down in a swift movement, hard set determination in her eyes. She was not here to be kind.

at least Sunday!
I was so busy this week with social things, but I wasn’t on my study so hard. So I feel a bit guilty, but as we are humans and social beings, I’ve just decided not to blame myself and do better next week. I just programme do more than 5 hours per day of study plus my classes and I think it won’t be a difference from not being so “studious” this week. Hope this works! Ready for the next week and using my late Sunday:D
What It’s All About
I found this book very well written because Gaines is effective in sharing his life stories because of his use of symbolism, imagery, showing the reader what the characters learn and the interesting subplots that are used to convey the themes and messages.
This story takes place in Bayonne, Louisiana during the late 1940′s.
It is about a black man named Jefferson who is falsely accused of first degree murder and sentenced to death. During his prosecution, his aunt, Tante Lou and her friend Miss Emma are appalled by the degrading words said about him and wish to ensure that Jefferson dies with pride.
Miss Emma forces Grant, her educated grandson to teach Jefferson how to be a man. However, Grant faces many internal conflicts because he believes he has never truly lived. As the story progresses, Grant and Jefferson learn important lessons from each other.
