Ingredients: 1 cup almonds. 1 cup dates, pitted. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted. 1/2 cup cashews, soaked and drained. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 1/4 cup orange juice. Zest of 1 orange. 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted. 1 tablespoon orange extract. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: In a food processor, pulse almonds until finely ground. Add dates, cocoa powder, and coconut oil. Process until mixture sticks together. Press mixture into the bottom of a tart pan to form the crust. Place in the fridge to set. In a blender, combine soaked cashews, maple syrup, orange juice, orange zest, melted chocolate, orange extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour the filling onto the prepared crust. Smooth the top with a spatula. Refrigerate the tart for at least 4 hours, or until firm. Before serving, garnish with additional orange zest or dark chocolate shavings if desired.
