It’s the next day of Zhongli and Venti’s fight. You get to punish them.

By the next morning, you mourn your rest and get out of bed at 6am. To drag the two culprits by their ears outside to lecture them. Your arms still retain a hint of the stress from yesterday, and your muscles are more taut when you wring them out of bed. If some woke up and saw you, they were wide enough to keep quiet and feign slumber.

The two admit to forgetting everything and you have to brief them on their wrongdoings. Your fury starts to build up as you explain what they committed, until you finally get to release it at them at last. You had the right idea to drag them far away, because you’d be waking up the fast-asleep otherwise.

It made you even angrier when Venti was nodding off, and when Zhongli shuts his eyes to avoid your gaze. They are more disobedient since sleepiness has taken their braincells captive. You don’t let them off this time, because of the drastic amount of fixing you and the others needed to do yesterday.

Punishments then. If lectures aren’t working as usual, you’ll use ways that you’ve learnt first-hand that’ll work. In a more extreme way, of course. You didn’t want to go there but they’re forcing your iron fist in the matter.

You make them do extra chores around for the next two month, and let the helpers decide if the duration is enough. They got lucky, as they didn’t get longer punishments.

The kids even persuaded you to reduce it to one month.

Ever since then, these two does most of what the kids ask from them, and you reward the kids when they succeed in guilting Venti and Zhongli into drinking less wine. Kids are better at guilttripping in this case, and you’re more than glad it worked. It was worth the one less month of punishments than planned.

You’re not having any repeats of this incident. Or taking any of their bull, on such a big scale.

Never again, you think, as you painfully retract the new arms entirely, to look human again. Godly powers take tolls on your body for how useful they could be. Moreover, your third and fourth arms still scare some of the adults, and you’ll have to remove the extra limbs eventually. You’d get stoned to death if the ignorant public sees you with a different body than your original one. Either you get hurt or the oversteppers’d.
