oh man this is a fun idea and i audibly gasped when i read it but also i dont know that much about the noir genre…. hope this is ok hahah
1) revan’s a former cop who got sent undercover to take down the biggest gang in the city. like, deep cover. they were in there a year before their squad lost contact with them. at first, they were assumed dead, but then they started hearing about heists a newcomer had pulled, elaborate, clever shit that they knew could only have come from revan. that’s when they knew revan had turned
thing is, their mission was technically a success, in the end. fighting broke out between half the gangs in the city, involving a series of hits that crippled every last gang, but also left vast chunks of the police force in tatters. the squad revan was tasked with taking out was decimated. but so was everyone else
2) t3 is a police dog :DDD and every day he waits at the door for revan to come home…….
3) juhani is a rookie cop; one day she’s sent on a mission that culminates in the police force’s attempt to teach her a lesson about loyalty when a cop pretends to be an undercover gangster who threatens to kill her supervisor if she doesn’t join them. she hesitates too long and they “kill” her master. she runs off, devasted and terrified of being implicated in the death.
4) jolee was once a cop in training, but after his attempt to bring a former gangster onto the force (his wife) ends in her returning to the gangs she had been a part of while a corrupt police force turned a blind eye, he decides he cant be a part of it anymore, and quits
